Goose decoys in yard

What is up with the tacky idea of people putting goose decoys in their yard or flower garden? And these are so cheap they are completely black w/o the typical black/white of a true Canada Goose.

Do they actually think that geese will land in their yard? Or after watching a flock of them move through the park and their Poodle sized dumps, I wouldn't want them anywhere near my house.

As a funny FYI...my company has a HR policy against feeding the resident geese on our campus. They are afraid their droppings will cause illness. That is a little overboard, but it works for me.

I don't understand the draw to have such tacky stuff in the yard. What is the attraction?

The 'live' geese around here are nasty, I'd never put a decoy shrine to them in my yard. I like them better about 30 yds away cupping into my 870 12 gauge.

Trolls and fake deer are the shitz also.

I personally like the 5 old-rusted out car lawn ornaments. They actually attract more of the like (one car, then two, then three) vs. those goose decoys. Maybe they are pro-hunters and don't have a place to store their decoys during the off season? Those things are big you know.

Actually I'd like to see somebody get creative with those plastic things and have a troll sitting on a deer trampling a goose.

Do they still put up those pink flamingos in Fl?

According to one study, 24% of lawns have some sort of lawn ornament in their yard.

I have a small pink flamingo in the front yard

right near the front door. Lots of those rusted cutsie poo lawn stakes with chipmunks, cats, butterflies, and those cutise poo froggie musicans.

Those wooden looking bears that look like it was carved wood stumps are pretty popular too. I found a nice 3 foot carved wooden bear with his right paw/arm raised in "HELLO"....I told my wife I could get it on the front lawn and redo the script to read "Seig Heil" instead of HELLO.....

Told wife-zilla that the funny part is I'm Asian...get it...Asian with a bear doing Seig Heil!

Think that could get me a nasty letter and a fine from the HOA board???????

Wifezilla was not amused.......my ribs still hurt....:twak:
