That sucks, imagine being about 100 miles in the middle of nowhere and having to have this junk towed out.
Trail rated? It couldn't even make it up the kiddy hill.
Since it is 'Trail Rated' is this covered by warranty?

Another quality product made by Jeep. Now if only I had this video when I was waiting on line to go on camp jeep at the NY auto show. A guy was talking to me and asked what kind of car I drove. I told him a Toyota 4Runner and he then started bad mouthing my truck and told me that any product that Jeep made can smoke my 4Runner. He also said that Toyota couldn't make a real SUV. I was losing my temper but I just said silence is golden and it is not worth it. I just told him that I will wave to him when he is on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck! His response to me was "Do you know how reliable the new Jeeps are?"
Don't you think even a RAV4 could have made it up that hill?

I would say thats just an idiot out destroying cars like normal, I would not attemp that in a 4Runner or G500, it's lack of ground clearance.
Sure give it gas fly up the steep incline and then have the middle under carriage of the Jeep plant itself right on solid ground, that itself with all the weight cracked the housing.
I don't see how Jeep can warranty a morons mistake, but it's possible

OUCH!
Trailer rated! Now that's another :xnuts:
He reved and goosed it up the berm without checking the breakover angle....a true off roader would have walked it first and planned out the angle ot travel and then go over slowly, perhaps at an oblique angle crossing the top so the top angle slides under car instead.....try explaining that to the warranty office...
But sometimes, a good kick in the nuts sounds a lot more fun.
But think of it this way...that POS Heep Liberty was bound to fall apart sooner or later, so at least it blew up right away before it gave him delusions that he had some long lasting quality built vehicle.....

And that ladies and gentlemen is why Toyota tucks their transfer cases high up behind a crossmember on the frame!!! SO you hit the frame and not the transfer case, but a pointy rock can still get to it.
Ouch, that is gonna be big $$$$$$$ for the repairs. Looks like the transfer case is totaled, the tranny probably as well and the driveshafts perhaps too.

OUCH!
Well, It was fun while it lasted.
I especially enjoyed the reving of the engine and the death rattle from the parts being flung off underneath.
He is now at 'Liberty' to say he is Trailer Rated.
