When i do carry one, it is a parkerized Remington Rand .45 Auto. I still have my hunting pistol, but haven't been hunting in almost 8 years now. It is an all stainless Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum with a Leupold scope. I also have a .50 Thompson Center black powder rifle, and a 12 guage shotgun. I had an SKS with a folding stock and baonett, but I sold it. I bought it for $99 in '94 and sold it last year for about $550.

Still no permit, so still no new gun. However I went target shooting the other day, then I went window shopping in the gun store and found a nice looking Glock 23 (40 caliber). Not too small, not too big, and it's light. Thinking about renting it this weekend or the one after that; it happens on their stock of guns to rent that is one of them.

I guess since I started off the thread I'll start, I'll keep it to my pistols for now, from first to last purchase I guess.

1) Taurus PT92 9mm

2) CZ52 7.62x25

3) Sig Sauer P220 .45 ACP

4) Walther PPK/S .380 ACP

5) Glock M36 .45 ACP

Whatcha got?
I wanted to pick your brain about the Sig Sauer P220 .45 ACP. I was just at a shooting range and they had one in the case. It looked just like this one and had only been used for a short time. The price was $499. I was wondering what you thouvht about that price for this gun.

I finally decided on what I am going to buy!!!

I just went and did my last part of my gun research; I went to 3 gun shops to feel, look, see, and discuss about the guns in question.
1. Beretta Cougar
2. Beretta 92 models
3. All kinds of Glocks
4. Sig

The Sig was nice and thin, but just didn't feel right for me, and it was heavy. Glock is a cool gun, and maybe when I decide to go to a higher caliber like a 40 or 45 then I might consider it, but just does not seem like a good choice for me as a 9mm. The Cougar was a very close second to what felt right, but still wasn't quite what I was looking for. Then I felt the 92 again in my hand which I have shot in the range, and I love the look, feel, handle, the way it shoots, and most especially the metal clicking sound it makes after each round is fired. I am sold. I have been quoted for a used $499.99, and a new $619.00. But the wife has put my big spending on hold, but as soon as the hold is removed I am buying this.
