Picked these 2 up at a garage sale last week for $300 each.
Winchester model 97 from 1927. This is the gun that really caught my eye as I've been slowly looking for a shotgun to finish my cowboy action gun collection.
Seller wanted $350 for this one, I offered $600 of the pair and he accepted it.

Just wanted to note, I used the Winchester Model 97 in my 1st ever cowboy action shoot today. It worked just fine for a 92 year old shotgun. Also had my pair of Uberti 1873 revolvers along and Rossi 1892 lever action, all 3 are modern reproductions in 38 special.
Being my 1st time out, I just shot for fun instead of trying to race the clock. Did manage to take all 5 stages "clean" with no misses. I had a good time.

The Gf and I spend a lot of time at the range and are about to start competing in 3 gun. That’s her new armalite m15 competition gun that she is excited to break in. And my trusty rifle which feels like a brick compared to hers

Wow, amazing deal on that milled Mak! I can't even find a used stamped Mak for any less than $700. I'd totally restore it with a Polytech spiker front sight, IWD T56 furniture, and a rear weld by Two Rivers Arms or Turbothis.

I do like that spiker. Seeing these Mak-90's sell for $700 to $900 on gunbroker. Tempted to put it on there as-is with a starting price of $600 and see what happens.
I have a bunch Romanian stamped AK's. Built 4 from kits back in the day when kits were cheap + had a SAR-1 to start with. Added a Serbian M92 AK pistol a few years back.
Finding myself drawn towards AR15's more often now, and just assembled my 3rd PSA pistol bringing my AR count up to 4.

Moved to Commiefornia, dumped my most of my ARs for pennies on the dollar, gave the nicer ones to dad.
Yep, this state blows.

tell me about it, the CA DOJ sent 3 goons in body armor to "inspect" my toys at 7am due to some paperwork i submitted with the CA DOJ.
They gave me a choice:
1. I can voluntarily let them inspect right then and now, in my home, and if I was found in violation, I can voluntaringly hand over my toys for destruction, and they wouldn't press charges. This was a one time only deal.
Or.
2. I can refuse the inspection, but I had to answer some questions regarding my toys, and depending on how I answer those questions, they may have to come back with a felony warrant.
conclusion: I told them to pound sand, and closed my front door on them. One of the agents called me a few minutes later from my driveway, saying I still had to answer their questions, but I can do it over the phone. I said, "No I don't" and hung up. Two weeks later, and my required paperwork got approved.....so I guess i wasted a bunch of taxpayers money that morning.
Yes, welcome to california....

I have a hardon for PRI handguards. Unfortunately all three of these were lost at sea during my last wheeling session in the middle of the desert when my boat tragically sank after a big wave hit it and it rolled off a clif into a volcano.
