I'm looking to offload my Ruger M77 Hawkeye 7mm.08 soon in favor of something handheld chambered in .45 ACP. I'd love some input on a hard working setup, I was looking at Colt but I'm not sold yet.

About a month ago I found these little wooden sorter racks at The Container Store. Seemed like a good price till I compared the price to dipped metal racks at Midway USA. The metal racks are the same price. Oh well works for now.
Still need to get 6 or 7 more handguns in there somewhere.

Glock 29: Glock 10mm in "subcompact" (although it's pretty chunky for a subcompact, and hard to conceal in summer). It takes the full sized Glock 20 mags so I keep one of those in it when hiking and I don't need it concealed. With that full-sized magazine, I can carry 15+1 of 10mm. Not enough to stop a Grizzly, but I figure it would work on most black bears or cougars, which is mostly what we have up in these parts. I keep the bear spray handy as option 1 though.

I'll keep that in mind for my next house. This is my 1st house and I've found that a 3 bed 2 bath is too small for 2 people. My guest bedroom has my safe and gun junk in it. Then I have an office.
I really need to build a huge barn with some office space / reloading room in it.
Can you walk out the door to your own range?
