I immediately thought of this scene (great movie IMO) when I saw your pic.

10mm is awesome. Ive had one for decades....finally it is coming back around. Just a short note...your giving every advantage of the 10mm up with the short barrel your using. Others are much better if your going short...need 5 or more for the 10mm to really shine.

Console Vault mod using ammo can!
Been meaning to post this for a while.
I picked up a console vault and my first reaction was !! WTF !!
There is a 'notch' in the vault metal for the storage console accessory panel. This panel had a coin holder, and the audio 'aux' input jack.
So I got me an ammo can and went to work.
I cut down the ammo can and placed it with more than enough notch coverage, then made sure the placement was correct before marking where to drill mounting holes in the bottom. I had to remove the entire center console to accomplish this.
I also needed to trim the existing storage bin 'plastic', but this does not matter because the entire vault just bolts into the storage space anyway. I added extra washers to avoid crushing the bottom of the plastic storage bin.
My 4R had a 'blank' button in the center console, so I just reloaded the blank with the 'Aux' jack. I was able to trim the 'blank' filler to fill in the slight gap due to the aux jack size difference (not pictured). I was surprised it fit so well.

Shot my 1st ever Deer yesterday late afternoon with a Federal 62gr Fusion out of my Windham AR15 Carbine. I guess it was a 50 to 75yd shot. The Deer jumped up in the air and landed DRT.
Tele-checked it, field dressed it, brought it over to one of the CWD testing sites last night. Dropped it off at the processor this morning. I figure putting meat in freezer allows me a buffer to look for a bigger buck.
I still have another Doe Tag and an Any Deer Tag to use.

[QUOTE=Friggin Idiot;3354106]It's always a good day when the SBR you assembled runs smooth and makes lots of little holes without a single issue on first use. Only had to adjust the sights a little. (Most of the holes outside of 10/head were DA sight acquisition pistol drills at 30ft.)

I didn't expect much from GSG .22 1911 clone, but the damn thing shoots amazingly well and digests whatever ammo I feed it (contrary to about every other 1911 I've owned). Great practice gun, points like second nature, cheap... love it!

Reising Model 60 and Smith & Wesson Light Rifle. The Reising is in 45 ACP and the S&W 9mm. Both WW2 era carbines.
