The entire assembly is actually a milled magazine well. The actual magazine fits in through the front of the well and the rear half of the well is a chute that shrouds the ejection port so the casings eject below the magazine. It’s a very strange setup and an absolute nightmare to manufacture I would guess. I have no idea what the designers were thinking when they designed this gun, it’s one of the most awkwardly designed firearms I’ve ever run into.

I need suggestions for a 1 piece scope mount. AR height.

the issue im running into, is the scope. its VERY short. Nikon p223 3x. I have to double check the measurement tonight when I get home, but I believe its 3.625" between the bells.

im having a hard time finding a 1 piece mount, that is small enough to fit.

the primary arms basic mount looks close, but its SO heavy. nearly as heavy as my scope. no thanks..

this is the exact scope, for reference.

P-223 3x32 Matte BDC Carbine from Nikon

im a huge fan of the aero precision ultralight mounts. and am seriously considering modifying one to fit my scope. but thought I would ask here first, in case someone knows of a better solution.

One of the reviewers mentions using Nikon P Series mounts.
I'd go with those:

Scope Mounts | Nikon Rifle Scopes

So far I have found that it doesn't like Federal .22 long rifle bird shot (for snakes). It will fire the first round but it will not eject. May need more than one shot. LOL! Other than that it is a really sweet shooter and I love mine, too.

CA featureless AR's are donkey shit.

Been training a lot with my 590A1 lately since Governor Hair Gel doesn't want me defending myself with the best weapon available.

More power outages tomorrow. I don't even bother restocking the fridge anymore.

thanks.

I really don't want a 2 piece mount.

I did verify my scope is 3.625" between the bells. I think I will get the aero mount (3.75") and modify it to work.

Do you have a Ruger Mini-14, Springfield M1A, or M1 Garand?
I sold off my Garand but still have my Mini-14 Tactical and M1A Scout.

I figure, if I ever take a road trip to California, I'd bring the M1A along after putting the muzzle brake back on. Furthest west I've driven is Tucson AZ.

I'll measure when I get home but I am using a leapers/UTG accusync scope mount from amazon that I paid $22 for. Its perfectly fine for everything as far as I can tell and it was very light weight. they also make mid and high profile mounts with no discernable price difference.

that's a good looking mount. a measurement would be cool. I looked on their site, and they don't list any specs...

however, I did order the Aero mount yesterday. I plan to radius the ID of the outer edge of the rings to get the necessary 1/16" of clearance I need.
we'll see how it goes...

I may or may not own a firearm, or two. Boating accidents happen.
Or not.

Respect for the question...but do you think anyone will answer it tuthfully?? You do realize the GOVERNMENT IS MONITORING this forum and any other with the frequent use of key words? Oh and they have no problem violating your rights as a US CITIZEN (GOD BLESS AMERICA BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE HAS THE PROTECTIONS) and does not go to jail.

You are a FKN idiot if you post details (they already no 50 percent so dont fkn tell them all of if) of firearms you own or know how to use.

FYI...guns scare the crap out of those who want to control them. Just take a look at Hong Kong. Yeah...we AMERICANS would have not allowed that to happen here!!!

Granted, I wouldn't bring any firearms into CA. Not on a bet. That would be just plain stupid. That said, unless you've got a gaggle of unregistered firearms, Nancyfreakinpelosi, the "Mother Superior of stupid" knows ya got 'em. This from a NRA member native San Franciscan. Yep, gone "domestic terrorist" according them a$$holes!

Ca

Does California still restrict "high capacity mags"? I.E. anything over 30 rounds?
