Just look at my Avatar. Yes it looks like a lasergun, and it is a 22, but hey it's my first. Eventually (I hope) I will get my permit soon; going on three months now of waiting. When/if it comes, I am pretty mind set on selling my 22, and getting a 92s Beretta; however I am planning to carry when I leave IT and get into my new field. So I am wondering if I should get something a little more compact. Well first the permit, then the gun.

Iman, if you don't mind me asking what are you going to do that requires you to carry a gun?

Nice choice of guns there d3cypher! I only have two but love my Glock 26-9mm ( with night sights, grip extensions, New York 8lb trigger, and a few other mods). I also keep a North American Arms .380 Guardain in my truck for backup. Given a choice to carry ( I do have my permit) I would take that PPK over the NAA .380. However, it fits in the " 4 Runners' console kleenex box carrier" just perfect. "Out of sight, and out of mind" just there for me; I like that!

Thanks! I got the Sig from my wife for Christmas this past year, it was my carry gun (I have my CCW as well), however when it got warner I noticed, hmm.. this is a full size piece. So I got the PPK for 'warm' weather carry, the Glock would fit the bill too, got it from my Father in-law. The PPK is nice, a bit heavy, but it's small and that's important. I keep either of the .45s for backup
NY 8lb trigger? is that because the Glock has a light trigger pull? I think my M36 has a 5 to 5.5 # pull, I'm not comfortable carrying it with one in the hole yet, everything else I have (minus the CZ52 that's just a fun gun) yes I'm comfortable. Wonder if I should start a poll re CCW .
That's sweet TRD!!! I got a couple of shotguns that I didn't list and rifle, guess I could do that now.. No pics yet though..
1) Marlin 30-30 lever action
2) Fausti O/U 12G Sporting Clay II
3) Ivan Johnson 12G single shot (circa 1906)

I don't mind at all; I am planning to leave the field of IT and buy or open a liquor store. I am one of those people that got burned out from doing this. Hopefully the fun aspect will come back when I leave, and I will enjoy building PC's again, but for now I just do not like it anymore.

Man the way you put it makes me feel bad. Yes I am changing my career, and clearly I am expressing it too much. Yes I looked into Armor car, and you know what, the pay sucks. So I am all set on preparing the liquor store. There is a lot involved.

Yes, they call it a "NY Trigger" and mine is mild. There is also a 12lb cousin to my 8lb spring. Rumor is when the NYPD went to the glock and gave up the old service 38 special, they had a few
"misfires". So, they changed all their springs to make it a 12lb pull so they could then take the slack out without firing the gun, or their suspect by accident. Your are right on the money with why I changed it. I wanted something that I felt comfortable with and could leave one in the pipe. The glock dealer that did all my other upgrades did the spring for free. TRD, very nice snipe rifle! Maybe we need one of those standard in our rides!

Sorry Iman, I should have let you answer that and I certainly didn't mean to make you feel bad.
Good luck in your career change!

Don't blame you, an armor guard guy got shot in the head in a robbery at a my local Costco. The guy was coming out with the money bag and some dude just shot him in the head. I think I hear he was making $10 an hour.
