The above watch looks awesome.

Just added this one to my wishlist. The previous models were pretty ugly, it looks like they have made huge improvements in the looks dept.

For $400 you get a hell of a lot of sports watch. Not bad looking either.

Can you post or send me some more info on that watchband?

I will concure with the Casio's. I have a Patherfinder as my every day watch. It is amazing and can take a beating. I had a Sunto before this and only reason I have the Casio is because the Sunto was stolen. They are great watches and you get allot for the money.

Did you have any issues with durability? I read a lot about busted watch straps- losing one in the river or off a mountain would be no bueno

I did have to replace the band once, but i really beat the hell out of it. I had it for about 4 years. Also, another issue I didn't like was when replacing the battery you have to have the kit from Suunto ,because getting that little gasket that kept it sealed was a MOFO to get unless it came from Suunto or a dealer and they were always out of stock. So I would just have an extra on hand if I needed it. Other than that, I loved that watch. It was nice having the Altimeter and the barometer for the long shots in the Stan.

^ the Suunto's sensors were accurate enough for that?? I read a review saying the watches dont do well in an EM environment, which has nothing to do with my requirements, but interesting that a lot of guys used them overseas....

It is a quick base line to go off of. I would not call it percussion but a good start for fast acquisition shots at long range. This was almost ten years ago in Anaconda and we all know there are better toys now, lol. When guys are taking tango's at 3k plus. Holy Fing wow is all I have to say.

Damn, you guys ACTUALLY use those watches' extra functions (alt, baro, etc.)!! For me, those extra functions are just nice graphics and random numbers to show off to my wife.
