New watch day--been waiting on this for almost a week--DHL had themselves confused from start to finish, but I just went and picked it up

The Black Bay is such a cool piece. I've wanted the Bronze Blue Bucherer for a while now but can't bring myself to pay secondary prices. Congrats on the watch!

Thank you! I flipped a steel and gold Black Bay awhile back and didn't think I'd own another due to the fact I have smaller wrists and it's a chunky watch, but when I saw the Harrods Edition I knew I had to have one eventually. Probably the closest thing I'll get to a kermit too with how the market has turned the last couple years

Can You Wear a Watch While Golfing? | Crown & Caliber Blog
One mistake from the article...underwater pressure ratings have very little to do with shock absorption. So, a Submariner or Sea-Dweller may not be any better than other mechanicals just because of its underwater rating.
There are pages and pages of debates on watch forums and other sports forums. Some say no, some say yes.
For me, spending thousands on a watch is not something i want to risk damage.

What do you think of them? How much money can I receive for selling and what is the best place to find an honest buyer?

Your Fossil is not worth much...just keep it. There is no market for your watch.

So, I wear my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Professional golfing all the time. I have never noticed a change in time keeping or any damage. Truthfully never thought about it really.

Got a new camera today; first one that's not a simple point and shoot. Naturally one of the first things I mess around with is the watch

Finally bought my self a Tag. I was on a cruise last week and found a great deal so I jumped on it.
But still love my Orient, Apple Watch 4 and Seiko 5.

Apple Watch Series 4 Space Black 44 (316L Stainless Steel with DLC) and Nike Sport Loop (black with reflective thread).
Stainless steel is coated with DLC. Front glass is sapphire. The back of watch is ceramic and sensors covered with sapphire. So, in essence, the whole watch (front and back) is very scratch resistant. Water resistant to 50m.

4 years after Apple Watch was introduced, it is indeed the #1 watchmaker in the world.
Smartwatch Brands Now Among the Best-Selling Watch Brands in the US – Robb Report
"As impressive as these numbers are, the clearest sign of the smartwatch’s ascendance is that smartwatch brands now make up three of the top five best-selling watch brands by value. While NPD would not disclose estimate sales numbers, they rank the top five brands as follows: Apple, Rolex, Fitbit, Patek Philippe and Samsung.
Of these brands, Apple appears to be out in front by quite a margin. Another study, from IDC and Strategy Analytics, estimates that the company shipped 23 million Apple Watches in 2018, about half of the smartwatch shipments worldwide. "

Sad. Men have lost their soul as well as a sense of style and timeless, distinguished tradition. Like a quality cigar and a sharp suit. Now they wear wristpads and dress down with ankle high pants like a pack of losers.
