Cell Phone Provider: AT&T or Verizon?

Should I keep with AT&T or switch to Verizon?

For the past several years I have been a AT&T customer, never had any issues with service or the company. I switched from Verizon to AT&T when the iPhone3 came out (I have a Apple MacBook Pro and the calendars sync'd up).

I have my friends are on Verizon. For service issues, it seems that like where I am missing coverage they have it, but when they don't have coverage I have full signal.

I live in Southern MD, but frequently visit DC and Baltimore areas; I pretty much stay up and down the eastern states.

With AT&T my current plan (can keep with new phone) has unlimited data & text and 450 any time mins a month (with rollover) for $85 (work discount). According to AT&T my Web/Data usage for the last 6months averaged out to be 4.08 gb; with a low of 3.47 gb and high of 5.08 gb. I play Pandora a lot! and drive 20k-25k miles a year (local radio stations play the same top 40 songs over and over, sometimes in the same order). Text messages average out to about 325 a month (used to peak out around 4000), but that because iMessage sends everything through the Data/Web.

I would just stick w/ AT&T since you're not going to have the same perks as you do now w/ AT&T. But I use T-Mobile and would not go w/ either of those 2 providers again just due to charges and incidents that happened years ago w/ them.

i have ATT and it sucks. I can barely hold a phone call. I live in a major city and never have signal. That being said, it's cheaper and I have a better data plan. Trade offs...

For me Verizon give me better service in rural areas in the west. What sucks is that AT&T has GSM network and works great in Mexico. Verizon only works in the cities and I am on ranches 98% of the time when I am down there in November, December and January.

I will most likely stick with Verizon

I've got an ATT iPhone that has no-service at two places I spend time at:
my house in northern suburbs of Atlanta and 8 miles out in the country in East Texas
Verizon is strong signal in both those places, been like this for 12 solid years now
