SNOW (in the south)
They are calling for less than an inch of snow in Charleston tonight, all hope is lost and the town has completely shut down, abandon all hope.....

They're calling for 3-6" around here, Jacksonville, NC, and the BASE shut down for two days.
This was supposed to start at 06, it's now 1000, and it looks like NOTHING.

Main roads are clear (salted) here in East Tennessee but all the side roads are white.
Probably about 3/4" now calling for 1-2" by the time it stops.
This is my first winter with my 4Runner and right now I'm super thankful that it's 4wd since I live at the bottom of a huge hill!

This winter has proved it's great to have:
1993 4Runner SR5 (MINE!)
1986 Jeep CJ7 (OURS!)
2005 Jeep Liberty Sport (HERS!)
I volunteer to pick-up or take home local hospital personnel who can't otherwise get to work. I've been called up quite a few times, and with the selection of 4x4s so far it's been very rewarding knowing that the right people are at our hospital helping those who need it mose.
I would highly recommend contacting your local hospital/hospice/nursing home, and volunteering your services. You could very well save a life.

A friend of mine down in LA was telling me that it snowed 2" in Alexandria overnight, and over the course of the next day the state patrol reported over 200 car accidents

Last year in Tucson we were replacing some poles and transformers after a house fire when we all got regional blizzard warnings on our phones. This is Tucson, Az. It gets chilly, but blizzard conditions? This was at 4PM. I was worried cos all I had was a sweatshirt. It finally drizzled at 3 AM and never got below 50 degrees. We sat in the trucks and waited for 20 minutes then went back to work…….
