Have not had a car in 10 years but.......
My last car was a Lumina Z34. Red and super fast. After college I picked up a new Ranger and have been "truckin it" since.
This is the 1st I have see the new TA.

Yea, GM is copying Ford since the re-introduction of the Mustang based on the 1967 model year. GM is basing the Camaro/Firebird on the 1969 body. It will be interesting to see what they do with this, but unless they enlist Yenko, I have my doubts that this will be a quality contender....

That is one sexy car. I was hoping they'd go back to the older bodystyle - looks sweet!

Now that Trans Am I like. I saw that new Camaro, which I happen to be a HUGE fan of, I had a 1981 Z28 with that working cowl induction hood. Man, that car was fast! but that new Camaro just looked like a cross between the new Mustang and some wierd attempt at simulating a Corvette on the back end. Their talking about not even releasing that new Camaro for another 3 years. Is the Trans Am scheduled to come out any sooner?

I was just talking to my friend and I was telling him that I thought they laid that bird to rest and although it was hot back in the 70's and 80's, by the 90's, we were making fun of it, but I think that car looks so hot, I think it's alright laying there spread out all over that hood. Especially since the trend in muscle cars seems to be 'retro'. At least it's not a Camaro trying to look like a Mustang.

I like that WAY more then the "retro" mustang. That thing just looks mean, plain and simple. I'd get it without the bird though too.

The only thing I hate about concepts are, that their only concepts. Like when they were first talking about bringing back the Charger. The first few concept shots I saw of it looked freakin' incredible. Now, the one that was actually released looks like a family car. An ugly family car at that. So I try not to ever get my hopes up anymore.

The Charger looks good, I like it. The Mustang looked good before it hit the streets and I actually liked it then, and had arguments with others how it's better than the previous gen. But the Mustang's looks to me got old really fast, the car hasn't been out for more than a year and IMO, it needs a redesign.
The Foose Design Mustang, Stallion, with styling cues from the Shelby Mustang looks good.

Maybe, but for the same 65 to 70k (according to Chevy's pricing), I imagine a 911 Carrera should offer some good competition, as well as a better reliability record....
Once the Mustang GT500 is released this spring, Z06 may have a little domestic competition for about half the price... At over 450 HP and 450 ft lbs torque, this monster should give Chevy some jitters.

The CHEAPEST 911 Carrera starts at $71K and only makes 325 hp. It's lucky to run mid 13s in the quarter. Are you feeling OK? Even a turbo 911 is no match for the ZO6. The ZO6 is in the exotic class of car performance (and gets 25mpg). What makes you think a 450 hp Mustang is going to do when the Mighty V10 Viper with 510 hp has already fallin!
