I want to know what you think...
I'm going to really hold back on this one because this hits way to close to home for me. I worked as a PMC in Iraq for some time. Lived there and on any given day would have laid down my life to protect the ones we swore to protect even though they would have not pissed on us if we were on fire because of the bleeding heat liberal scum many were.....
I'm sorry but this is a total fail. I understand that innocent people were killed, but I'm sorry but I know the caliper of guys out there and I find it hard to believe they just opened fire at this intersection with out taking fire.
I have been through it more times than I can count. It is a death trap!
Lets hear it guys. I really want to know if there are any other Spartan, Sharks, or Templar guys on this place or others(you know who you are)

Without being there when it happened, I can't even pretend to know what to think about this one. I feel bad for the jury though... this one seems highly political and I imagine they didn't have much of a choice based on what was presented. Maybe it will get worked out on an appeal.

I'm a civilian, so the more I talk about stuff like this the dumber I'll sound because I've never been there. That said, I have family that has served and I have utmost respect for our military members. Like you, I doubt 4 trained guards just decided to go on a rampage without provocation. And I think it is quite possible they are being railroaded for political purpose. Being where I sit and what I know about the situation, it is also possible I'm completely wrong on both of those opinions.

This.
I'll just say that while I have never been in Iraq, I knew someone that carried out operations there and around the world. He never talked about his missions to me, but he did confide to his father-in-law (who is one of my best friends) about some of the operations he and his team had been involved in.
Lets just say that the 'Official Version' of notable events that the public hears, is often NOT what actually happened.

Yup. Anybody that was there isn't talking about it, and anybody talking about it wasn't there.

I find it funny that the way things are made out is that only 4 guys left on that mission. WRONG! Each team is much bigger than that. Hummmmmm

Knowing that almost 50% of T4R is college educated I happy how this discussion is going.
I just can't see how in the world the Government pulled this one off. The chargers are way out of line I feel. How can you charge someone for using the very weapon that the State Department Issues to them, and tack on extra time because it is a fully automatic weapon? WTF! When I left Baghdad the Military was gone and the local police were really flexing the might. I know it was time to go or I would have ended up in prison for shooting one of them, that is how bad it was getting and that is why allot of guys rolled out because there was no support for us at all while executing official operations.
I think I just need to stop now. I hope that everyone who reads this understand the high caliper of the guys that have been convicted. This trail is why I no longer work in Iraq and will not go back unless it is in North were Baghdad has no Influence on the Kurds and how they run there area they control.

Well this part is easy. There is one thing you keep forgetting. This is the same "government" and "Commander" in Chief that have tried making several innocent officers pay for their crimes, when they in fact were not crimes at all. Basically the ball is in the court of the individual with the biggest wallet and "best lawyer".
I agree with previous statements that although I myself am not Military, I have always and will always have the upmost respect for them. Whether telling them this verbally in passing or buying there meal whenever I am at the same restaurant. There is percentage of veterans who aren't right and probably would open fire for the heck of it and for some reason the media likes to usually focus on these and blow them completely out of proportion.
I can say from having relatives and roommates in the military that it is not the norm, and like LEO's they know that in todays world there are repercussions for whenever a weapon discharged. It's just unfortunate that when someones life is being threatened they have to worry about the family of the assailant/deceased coming after them claiming they shouldn't have killed their non-law abiding relative.
It's very easy for a jury to guess what they would do when they themselves are not directly in arms way or in a situation, or have been a war zone for months at a time.
Lastly I hope what comes of this is righteous and that truly the only individuals who will know this are the ones that were there.
