100% American, of 50% Irish (Old Man) and 50% Lebanese (Mom)descent. Mom's mom came from New Zealand after WWII, my gramps was born in Hillhead, SD, settled in Twin Cities (West Side St. Paul).
Dad's mom came from Ireland at age 15 in 1925, his dad farmed in Rosemount (now a suburb of TC). They met in St. Paul, got married and raised 5 Irish hell raisers in the West End, my dad was the youngest.
I like Lebanese food very much, Irish food is basically non-existent.
Nobody famous that any of you probably have heard of, although some local "legends" exist in neighborhood folklore.
I am all-American, though, I love America. However, I recognize my ancestors and their importance in making who I am. My DNA for starters, but also those good old values from the old country.

I'm Texan, for several generations. My ancestors were Scottish royalty, British, Irish, Choctaw Indian, etc...
No movie stars, musicians, pro athletes, or mass murderers in my family.

Mostly Scottish & Norwegian but grew up in Los Angeles...... I learned parts of Tagalog, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese growing up. Granted, most of what I learned were Hello/Goodbye, swear words, and pick up lines.... Now I am learning German and Italian because my wife was born in Germany and lived in Italy for a while. When I can master English I will try to become fluent in at least 3 other languages but for now I'll just stick to what I already know =)
The most famous relation is to Sir William Wallace but that is going back quite a ways. Related through the Wallaces of Craigie but I have no idea what that makes us.
My wife has been on the Food Network and the Travel Channel a few times so I consider her to be famous now (I was in a 2 second clip on one of the shows. I think that makes me mostly famous, right!)
Thanks again to all who post valuable information on this site, I have learned plenty in the last few months thanks to you guys. I truly appreciate the knowledge.
Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays to you all, whichever floats your boat!

oh and famous people, my great uncle was Al Capone's bodyguard in prison! I was named after Dylan Thomas' (old school famous poet) wife, but we aren't related.

100% Dutch!
Both grandmothers immigrated as young girls, both grandfather's parents were immigrants. (It's a West Michigan thing)
Nobody famous, but my maternal great grandmother was somehow connected to Dutch royalty. She married a brick-layer and was cut off from the family.
