What nationality are you ? Anyone famous in family ?
I'm all polish on my father's side and all German on my mother's .
My fathers parent's/family came over here on the boat . My mother's family came a few generation's before that from Germany.
Nobody famous by today's standard , James A. Michener ( the author ) was Grampa's 1st cousin , but that's about it. He did come to my 1st wedding here , but saw him only about once a year after that and alot more when I was a youngin.

Well seeing as how both my parents were adopted I don't really know my true nationality. On my mom's side I am related in some way to Kit Carson, and on my Dad's side I am related to my grandfather, Charles Tandy, who founded Radio Shack, Pier 1, Wolfe Nursery, Bombay Company, and Tandy Leather....oh and My Uncle is married to John Waynes Widow, Pilar Wayne.

I am long-lost descendant of Alexander Hamilton, who was the first Secretary of the Treasury. You'll see a photo of him on the $10 bill.
He was my grandfather with about seven 'greats' in front of it.
:awais:
I believe that he and Ben Franklin are the only people on US currency who never served as President of the United States.
But other than that, I have no claims to anything out of the ordinary. Just consider me an unassuming, boring old white guy. I have a various "Heinz 57" geneaology (sp?). I have German, English, Scottish, Irish, Russian, Slavic and even Lithuanian blood flowing in my veins. Way back on my maternal grandma's side, I have some European Jewish ancestry in there somewhere as well.
Basically, I am just a non-hyphenated American.

I'm Filipino (both parents are too), but I'm unsure if I have any Spanish blood in my lineage. Spain occupied the Philippines for about 400 years so there were a lot of mixing going on. I'm regularly mistaken as a Spanish speaking person and even my last name is a Spanish name.
To my knowledge no famous people in my family, but I am closing in on Thai's post count though I will never surpass his post whoreness.

All American mixed breed, part German, English, Irish, Scottish, French, plus who knows? My Son is part Cherokee Indian. My family came here before there was a U.S.A. Lost 11 family members in one battle in the Civil War. No one famous.

nobody famous.
blood is 50% german, 50% korean
Great Great Grandpa Joseph came to this country in the 1890's. Settling in South Dakota, he married and broke (first to turn the soil, this amazes me) much of their land to farm. Much of this land is still being farmed by various extended family today.
The other side from my Ma, she came here from Seoul, Korea in 1976 on a Boeing 747.

Falls- James Michener, pretty much my favorite author! a very talented writer, he introduces me to cultures and history in a way I really enjoy!

well as for famous, at a certain point, my 2nd or 3rd cousin was in the Department of Trade and Industry for the Philippines. Then a little mess went on, and now he says he's considered "jobless" (although this guy's got LOTS of $$$$$$$$)

My family, in the 1600's, were responsible for founding Stamford, Connecticut. Also, I have a distant relative who was the first reported "civilian casualty" in the Revolutionary War as a result of what they now call "friendly fire"

50% Chinese
50% English
Although, I much prefer the Chinese side. My moms parents came over by boat from China. Don't know how long my dads family has been in the country, nor do I care (long story).
My mom's Uncle is H.Y. Louie who founded London Drugs (Canadian). As well as numerous real estate ventures and import companies.
My dad's family is white trash.
My surname is the same as your Attorney General, but there is no relation I am also the only member of my family to have dual citizenship (American and Canadian). I was born in Houston, TX then moved to Vancouver, BC at a young age.
