I went back to school and got a degree in Marketing after caddying for about 20 years. It was tough working full-time and going to school full-time but, it was rewarding at the same time.
'ing it pays off.
I have done very well as a caddie but the years are taking a toll on my body and there is really no going up in earnings except for slight increases in the rate charged per bag. In addition it's very weather dependent and includes no benefits. It also requires traveling back and forth up and down the coast to follow the sun. Which sounds great(in that you avoid the cold of winter) but it takes a toll on relationships, pain in the a** w/health insurance policies and logs a bunch useless miles on the vehicle. Lastly, there is no job security and it becomes very redundant/brainless.
I look forward to having steady/predictable income that should increase as time goes on, being mentally challenged, benefits, the decrease in wear on my body, becoming part of a community, no interruptions in relationships due to distance, permanent housing, less miles on the vehicle, meeting a new crowd of people and anything else I might have not mentioned. lol
I figure, worst case I can always go back and be a caddie should I not enjoy my shot at a career.
Anybody looking to hire someone who is
for success in the NJ/NYC area? (Not opposed to NC or FL(east coast) for the right number)
