My GF is in the process of getting her PMP. I know she signed up for some classes online @ Coursera.org. They were developed by UC Irvine. I don't know if they cover all of the material, however.

Has anyone taken the course by Project Management Academy - PMP Certification Training Irvine? It's a 4 days virtual eLearning classroom. They seem to have PMP Training Discounts for unemployed, but I'm not sure how this all works. Or any other inexpensive alternatives? I would really ppreciate any feedback from you guys. Thank you beforehand.
I'm pretty sure that's who offered the course I took but I took it in Denver in person. I imagine its all about the quality of the instructor as much as anything. So do some research on who is do the training. Aside from that PMA offers a good course.

That said, the PM job has been so watered down the past decade or so that it's not as valuable as it used to be. I see people offering 65k a year salaries all the time and I just laugh at them.

I would consider what field you're going to be in before spending money on a PMP. If you're going to work in software development, I wouldn't bother with a PMP. Unless the company you're at is waterfall and in that case I would get another job.

I got my PMP about 7 years ago. I used Rita Mulcahy's PMP Exam Prep Book, along with an in-person class from Alamo PMI in San Antonio.

Thanks

Guys , you can get an online and cisco certificate. I
received it just a month ago and I'll tell you how. I had to write cisco
exams but was generally unprepared. I asked a friend where I can
prepare for the exams and he showed me the site spoto
The guys from this site prepared me for exams in a short time. And I
wrote the exam quite easily and simply. Having received a cisco
qualification, I immediately got a job with a good company.
