I checked them out at this years FJ summit. Good looking tire and I like they come in a 285/70/17 Load Range C and they will be coming out with a 285/75/17 in a Load Range C. That's something nobody else has right now.

My brother in law likes they will be coming out in a Load Range F for his heavy diesel which pulls his huge trailer.

I also checked out the Nitto Exo Grappler which looks better in person. I like that one because it is Severe Snow rated. Although, the Nitto rep said the Ridge Grappler has all that technology plus some more and should do just as good in the snow and ice but they didn't want to have two snow rated tires competing with each other. Not sure how true all of that is or not.

3 ply sidewalls on the Exo Grappler and I'm assuming 3 ply as well for the Ridge Grappler. Some sizes in the Ridge Grappler are Load Range F, which is like a 12 ply tire while the Exo Grappler is "only" Load Range E or like a 10 ply tire. I do find it interesting that per Nitto's website, the Ridge Grappler is rated better for wet performance than the Exo Grappler, which is their Severe winter tire. I would think it would be the other way around or at least equal. Also, the Exo will except studs whereas the Ridge will not.

I am not sure what my next tire will be. If I had to get a set tomorrow it would probably be the KO2's. There are a few others I will look at when the time comes but I have a good bit of tread left on my current KO's

I like Nitto

I have their Terra Grappler right now... The Terra has been a good tire, but it hasn't really impressed me or stood out one way or another.

This new tire looks a lot more aggressive, but I have a feeling it just looks a lot more aggressive... but hopefully I am wrong.

Every time I see something new I want to try it haha... but no 10 ply, I wont bite...

I'm tired of worrying about my sidewalls off road... I've never owned an E load range tire... I want something with a long standing race and off-road pedigree. At this point, I think I am going to stay on course... BFG KO2 E Load is my next tire... and I've been wanting to try one pretty bad.

That's a good looking tire, doesn't surprise me that Nitto came out with a "RT" tire since many manufacturers are jumping in on that band wagon. Honestly though I like the "RT" tires, I run the Toyo Open Country R/T and have been loving them so far. Smoother than their M/Ts on the road with almost as much bite and a bit better snow rating (per Toyo's own website) when compared to the M/Ts

I imagine the Nitto Ridge Grapplers will appeal to the same market share of owners who want a solid performing tire for both moderate/severe wheeling and on-road use without going to the Mud Terrain that will not be as good on-road in the long run.
