I have tried couple of 12V charger in every truck for the last 11 years (3 Jeeps and now my T4R), and finally I have found what I was looking for. It is cheap, only $14,99, and he will charge your phone fast.

Things To take in consideration:
1- I have an iPhone 6S
2- I have the 2011 SR5 Premium
3- Stock front 12V plug is 0.2 AMP

So what Duracell 12V charger 3.1 AMP will do? Is to take between 0.1 and 0.9 stock AMP converting this to 3.1 AMP.

Today the test was with with stock charger 0.2 amp and my new 3.1 amp charger. Took my phone with 14% and plugged into the stock amp and after 30min my phone was at 19% (like always very slow). Then I plugged into the 3.1 amp and in 28min my phone was at 100% charged.

This is a great 15$ gadget that will charge your phone fast. Furthermore, you cant go wrong with Duracell.

My next test will be with my iPad Air 2 with this 3.1 amp. Ill post this soon.

I don't see how .2 amp becomes 3.1 amp. It sounds like your previous chargers were 1amp or less. I have an Android. I use Quick Charge 2.0 or higher.

Exactly, all my chargers were lower than 1amp. My cousin is an electrician and he told me that is not a good idea to put a charger higher what is recommended. The best way is to get a converter (This is what I have now). Back in the days didnt need it because my old iPhones which was the 3 and 4, didnt need to much amp. But 6s is another thing, that phone need at least 1.4 amp to get a good charge. Same thing with the iPad Air 2, the tablet need at least 3.4 amp. My older iPad mini 2 just needed 2.8 amp

This is a very confusing thread.

You're posting a picture of an AC-based USB (5V) charger and talking about 12V chargers. Are you running this off the inverter in the back?

Anyway, you can't just compare amps to amps at different voltages. It's all about the Watts. If you want to fast charge devices just get a decent cigarette plug adapter. I'm a fan of Anker products. For an example, look at their 42W dual port charger. At max load that'll draw about 4A at 12V.

Not in the back, in the front cigaret plug. I just shared my experience because I found a couple of post that people are not happy with the cigaret plug (slow to charge phones). So this is a good cheap 15$ solution to charge your phone, mine in 28min from 19% to 100%.

The 5th gen 12V outlets are rated for 120W combined. So I'm not sure what you mean by the front 12V plug providing 0.2A. There no magically creating more power. If Duracell was converting [email protected] to [email protected] we'd all be driving magical Duracell vehicles and the oil crisis would be solved.

It sounds like the fix was just replacing an old school low current charger with an adequate modern charger. You must have linked a picture to the incorrect product because that is not a 12V charger.

Anyway, congratulations for finding a fix!

The front supplies .2 amps of power AT 12V. Phone chargers operate at 5V, so therefore the output is able to provide 2.4W of power. Phone chargers are 5V, so 3.1A at 5V is 15.5W.

I think the info of .2A at the outlet is incorrect, something doesn't work here...
