Well timed topic

I thought the doc "13th" was meh. Mainly bc I also read her book which is a bit better. A far better book IMO was "Slavery By Another Name".

Great crime doc: The Fear of 13

Some that come to mind:

Breaking Bad (Unlike some, I liked the whole series.)
The Office (One of my favs - I liked the American version better than UK)
Top Gear (Like the UK version, hated the American version)
Abstract: The Art of Design (Just started watching and like it so far, AND pretty kid-friendly which is a plus)
Pulp Fiction
Sons of Anarchy (I only started watching this because people I know recommended it, then i couldn't stop)
Good Will Hunting
Nurse Jackie
House
Mad Men
Any of the Anthony Bourdain series

Some lesser known crime dramas that I liked:
Marcella
The Killing
The Fall

There are a lot of good documentaries, also - a few that come to mind:
Inspired to Ride (good cycling doc)
Personal Gold (really fascinating story - US olympic women track cycling...really good story that I was unaware of)
Touching the Void (Mountaneering)
Making a Murderer
The Barkley Marathons (great doc about a crazy-ass, backwoods ultra-marathon - must see, even if you're not a runner)
Any of the 30 for 30 series
Team Foxcatcher
Valley Uprising (History of Yosemite Valley climbing)
Stop at Nothing (Lance Armstrong doc)

GF rented passengers the other night, visually it was beautiful, the CGI is outstanding. The story went a bit different than I expected, but it was an enjoyable watch. And JLaw in a bathing suit doesn't hurt either

The new special on OJ Simpson is great. Cuba Gooding stars in it.

Yes. . It was one of the best dramas I've seen in years.

Spectral was decent. I'm going to watch Kill Command right now based on your recommendation.

As for Black Mirror, I absolutely love it. Every episode is self-contained, tech/dystopian, somewhat plausible, engaging, and has fresh cast.

My favorites in Black Mirror were Daniel Kaluuya in 15 Million Merits and Bryce Dallas Howard in Nosedive. Although some of the episodes became predictable early on, they're still well worth a watch in their own right.

Dude yes Bryce Dallas was awesome in her episode. This show is a self fulfilled prophecy

Don't let your girl convince you to watch 13 Reasons. It's depressing, dumb and high school.

Peaky Blinders for sure!

Also shameless has been a good one-plenty of seasons but if you’re looking for moral fiber or family friendly, look elsewhere.
