This is what is everything wrong when there is no fiscally responsible plan at the state level. California is only the 11 or 10th state, its actually far worse. Its one of the few states, where if the parents were getting money for children under 18, the parents will continue to receive funding for those children even after they are 18........ Its seriously mind boggling.

Btw, I know the cheatsheet is a crap news source, but Forbes did a piece on how people were better off getting welfare than working back in 2013.

Yup.... agreed. I was talking to my liberal coworker about that too. Its far easier to get votes by trashing trump than actual try to fix anything. I told her I'm not voting Dem again, until they start focusing on my states current problems.

The Dem needs to get over that trump is elected.............and start doing their jobs.

As someone mentioned before , nobody wants a bullet train in california. Nobody wants to put illegal immigrants rights as a priority, nobody wants california as a sanctuary states. Nobody cares about unisex bathrooms, and wether or not we are male or female on our driver's licenses. We want change, but the politicians in power seem to think these issues are a priority, because the fringe groups in the DNC scream the loudest. This is why on a federal level, the dems are going to lose because the problems are uniquely californias.....and yet they tried to champion those same problems on a federal level. Yes, we elected a bunch of idiots at the state and federal level (both repubs and dems). We need term limits seriously.

Why is liberal California the poverty capital of America? - LA Times

Good article.

California, with 12% of the American population, is home today to about one in three of the nation’s welfare recipients.

You can rationalize anything you want, but I believe 100% that anyone who thinks California is anything less than utterly f***ed is utterly delusional. No offense intended.

P.S. I am aware that this is pretty ironic since I'm a resident of Massachusetts!

Callifornia East or New Jersey as I know it

Looks like our new leadership is interested in following in the footsteps of California. This should be fun, 4 more years and I am leaving NJ! I was leaving anyway, but this could be a disaster in a place where everyone in power is out of touch and taxes can’t get any worse. Nj has a high exit rate already, this should seal the deal.

Ya know

Back in the 80’s there where English proficiency tests. That by todays standards is unthinkable. Try just walking into any other country and put your hand out.

1/3 of Californians are on some form of welfare.

Moonbeam is upset that the sky high state income taxes won't be deducted from the Federal Taxes anymore, nor will the property taxes on the ludicrously inflated real estate.

For the "biggest economy" they sure as hell have money problems that would be easily fixed if they had any semblance of fiscal responsibility.

As for "shitholes," San Francisco is literally one. Watch your step around the massive bum fortresses scattered around town. I used to love going out to eat there, but lately I feel like I need to shower if I set foot in that town and burn my clothes.

'Arrest Xavier Becerra': CA Gov Candidate Calls for Sessions to Charge State AG Over New Immigration Law | Fox News Insider

Oh the irony, and only in california.....
and I thought the previous AG was crazy...lol.

If I was a progressive, liberal politician in california, I would want all my communist laws to be passed with as little fan fare as possible so it doesn't attract the attention of the DOJ and the supreme court....... The feds don't care as long as you don't make waves. Now the AG goes out and releases a statement that he will prosecute anyone that breaks a state law that contradicts federal law...... This pretty much will force the issue of state sovernty to the supreme court, and not only will they reaffirm federal laws over state laws, they will also have to address california's sanctuary status, which with a conservative bench, will not rule in california's favor.

I think the progressive left should issue the AG a muzzle to keep his mouth shut, or just arrest him.....he's clearly not doing the progressive left any favors for showboating in front of the media.
