I recently picked up a Vizio P659-G1. 65" LED, 200 dimming zones. Price was $999 ordered from Walmart via the Alaska Airlines shopping portal for an extra 3 Alaska miles/$ on top (=2997 Alaska miles). Not quite as good as an OLED but still pretty good. I didn't want the burn-in worries of OLED.

I just want to comment that I've had 0 burn in issues in 2 years of usage.

I mainly watch TV shows and occasionally play video games with the TV. I do not watch cable news or cable TV, ever. Basically I never watch anything that has a static logo. I also don't watch sports. These are my viewing habits independent of the TV. So essentially I never watch any content that could even remotely have burn in, whether it was a plasma or OLED.

We watch everything through the XBOX ONE-S which has built in screen dimmer also.

Tonight we just had movie night and watched Mission Impossible FALLOUT on disc. Super awesome movie.

I don't leave my TV on CNN all day long either so I think the real world burn-in risks are pretty low, but I just didn't want to take the chance I owned a Samsung phone with an OLED display that burned in after a couple years.

It's pretty cool to see a decent amount of 4K/HDR content available on the usual streaming sources (Netflix, Amazon).

The best thing on the new 4k screen is the picture of course! We have two 50" 4k plasma and 55@ OLED and as especially my son is watching cartoon on Amazon Prime 24/7 there are no issues at all. And the quality of picture is absolutely visible compared to our old 50" Pioneer plasma. The new technology is pretty much safe focused so unlikely anything to burn, unless there is some assembling issue etc.

Don't think they ever made a 4K Plasma. Are you sure it's a plasma?
