iPhone X screen protection.

I just picked up my iPhone x and while i historically haven't been a fan of screen protectors, i think that it would be beneficial to get one on a $1000 phone. that being said i have no idea where to start but im thinking i would like a privacy tinted one. If anybody has any experience or input on available options for the iPhone X i would greatly appreciate it.

Do you have AppleCare+? If you do, then do not get screen protector. Just use it. Then near the end of the extended warranty, go get your screen replace by Apple.

If you do not have AppleCare+, then i am currently using the Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra from the Apple Store. It is expensive...$40. However, Apple Store has a cool device (in store only) to put on the screen protector PERFECTLY. My Belkin screen protector is the 1st gen for the X...it is thinner but cracks easily, but for whatever reason, my 1st gen Belkin has been great. The 2nd gen Belkin that is currently on sale at the Apple Store is slightly thicker and supposedly tougher. Most (if not all) other glass screen protectors are TOO SMALL and does not cover the display 100%. The Belkin InvisiGlass covers the display perfectly.

I really like Zagg InvisiGlass. It’s a real glass screen protector and I used that, along with an OtterBox, on my iPhone 6 that I had for 3.5 years. I dropped that thing numerous times and it worked just fine. It goes without saying that when I bought my iPhone X a couple of weeks ago, I went and bought another OtterBox and Zagg InvisiGlass.

For the iPhone 6 I had the Commuter but for the new X I purchased a Symmetry because the store didn’t have the Commuter available. The Symmetry feels a touch sleaker but possibly not as protective for drops though the label still advertised drop protection.

Nah you’re fine with Symmetry...a much better design than Commuter. I have Symmetry too. But right now, i am using Lifeproof NEXT for my X...still not sure if i will keep using it or go back to Symmetry.

I just use the Apple leather case which has protected my iPhone X from half a dozen drops. Nothing on the screen. I went from carrying around the iPhone like a newborn to treating it like a weed whacker. But your way clearly provides better protection. Both products are worth the investment.

I buy the ballistic glass on amazon, tech armor it is like 3 for 9.99. I used to buy the "high end" glass screen protectors but this stuff is just as good for a fraction of the price.

I too run the leather apple case and did so without screen protector but after 3 days a brand new cut key scratched the screen so I started using the glass screen protectors again.

I've been using cases and glass screen protectors from Bodyguardz, for the last nine months, on an iPhone 6+, SE, and 8+

They have a privacy glass screen protector for the X. No experience with that specific style of protector, but my Bodyguardz products have performed the best of all the brands I've tried (Otterbox, Lifeproof, Zagg, and half a dozen others).

Slim cases with great drop protection. I drop mine [literally] daily on a variety of surfaces, and usually end up putting my phone in a worse situation about once a month (like closing the 4Runner liftgate while the phone sat on the bumper)...Bodyguardz has weathered all my abuse.

Lifetime warranty on the screen protectors (which I've taken advantage of twice- just had to pay like ~$5 shipping each time).

If you're into using your phone a lot for fitness, they make the best armband/case I've ever used, their "Trainr Pro" case. No need for a separate "fits-all" armband sleeve...the case has slots for a snap-in armband, and it WORKS.

Also, they have pretty regular sales and special offers, so if the prices seem too steep, just wait a bit (like bad weather in Florida) and they'll get better.

HTH
