It retains the Zf 9spd transmission. Run away. Honda, Acura, FCA and Land Rover have all had problems with it. Honda claims to have made improvements to the ZF 9spd. No matter how much one polishes a turd, it's still a turd.
True, i would have prefer the new Honda-designed 10-speed. But then again, Honda transmission has a horrible history ZF or not.
I probably would get extended warranty if i get it.

Highlander is equivalent to Honda Pilot in size and rows of seating. This Passport is in between RAV4 and Highlander in size...similar to 4runner in that sense.
Highlanders are nice. But i think that they still do not have Apple CarPlay.
From the pics above, the underbody seemingly is far from being clean...and while departure angle is decent, the approach angle is bad. I am pretty sure that there are no skid plates of any kind. So, it is not that much heavier duty than your average unibody SUV (aka Highlander).

Rolling off assembly line already...so should be at Honda dealers in Jan or Feb.
Where Honda IMHO falls short is the controls for the air/heat. Try lowering, raising the temp with thick gloves on. My aunt had the same ones in her 2017 Pilot. She hated them so much she went back to the 2015.

Looks the same as almost every other modern SUV/CUV out there, just a slight difference in size.
Remove the badging, and I wouldn't trust myself to be able distinguish one from the other I had a gun to my head.
I understand that's just the style now, mixed with state-of-the-art aerodynamics, etc, etc, etc, but that look is just so blah.
What happened to actually being able to tell what a vehicle is, instead of it looking nearly identical to the dozens of other vehicles in the same class (or even NOT the same class) for any given year?
