Enjoy -- not everything is everyone's cup of tea. I left off a few philosophy ones:
The One You Feed
Tara Brach
Cup of Tao
I find if I give a show a solid five listens, I'll figure out if it's worth continuing in my feed or not. I learn something from every show, even the ones I end up not liking. And sometimes my preconceptions get challenged in a good way.
I burned out on:
Planet Money (good for historical context, but too 'current events' so if one doesn't want to go back in time to listen to what-ifs scenarios, it's kind of like watching someone else's vacation picture show).
Tech Stuff (still good, but when he lost his co-hosts, it became long and a bit labored)
All of them beat the heck out of talk-radio babble for travel, or even listening to my 1000 favorite songs on random, 'though if I don't want to think, I prefer the music
I've made it to the end of 2019. Just three years to catch up on -- I wonder what happens? BTW, I tend to gain 1 weeks' worth of listens any given day or two, as the podcasts play for a few hours or so while I work, do yard work, or drive. The philosophy ones can be good for meditation (Brach in particular).
