Any metalheads?

Just went to the Scorpions concert in Durant, Ok last Saturday. Amazing. Whitesnake coming up in April. These guys are getting old but still put on a good show. Recent shows were Tesla, Dream Theater, Stryper (twice), and Motley Crue (farewell show). Missed Accept, wish I would have gone. Accept is still putting out good music.

Not sure I'd consider myself a metalhead, but definitely grew up with those bands in the 80's. Metallica is one of my all-time favorite bands. Seen them a few times in concert and they have yet to disappoint. The most recent was last year and I was impressed with how well they still sound. Also just watched (again) Flight 666. So good.

Had a very random day/night when a friend of mine called me up and asked if I'd help his neighbors out of town friend learn how to wake surf. Which ended up resulting in a concert and after party that was one for the books.

WS were here last summer. And not too long before that for the Purple Tour. I should be in Europe for work while they are there this coming summer but doubt it will work out. Listened to Scorpions in the late 80s but that was that.

I listen to a lot of metal and rock. I had a rock-format radio show two nights a week for about a year while I was in college- really enjoyed that, and I made a name for myself in the area with it. Unfortunately, the area I'm in now isn't really a hotbed for the radio scene but I want to get back to it one day.

I'm well versed in 70's and 80's rock, 90's grunge, and I stay abreast of current music. I've seen quite a few bands along the way.... Motley Crue twice on their farewell tour with Alice Cooper (Alice still has one of the best shows I've ever seen), Foo Fighters multiple times, Anthrax, Five Finger Death Punch (not my favorite, but highly energetic show), Metallica twice, Guns n Roses, Black Sabbath, Disturbed, good old AC/DC, Nightwish, Tool, Iron Maiden.... to name a few. There's enough rock/metal on my iTunes to play by itself for well over a week.

Oh YES!!! I grew up with the 80s Hair Bands and still listen to most of them today. I do branch out from everything for old country, old rap to full metal. My Pandora pretty much stays on random thumbprint radio so there is no telling what the next song will be.

1st Concert: Momsters of Rock '88 (I think) in Dallas, line up was Kingdom Come, Dokken, Scorpions, Metallica and Van Halen.

Most recent: Last Fall in Houston was, Volbeat, Avenged Sevenfold, and Metallica.

Metallica was just plain awesome!! After hearing Volbeat in person they are now one of my favorite bands, and A7F sucked live.

I have a metal plate in my skull as a result of a bad accident, does that count?

When you say "metal" I think more along the lines of Slayer, MachineHead, Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Deicide, Lamb of God, etc.

And yes, I am.

I'm a total metalhead, although a completely opposite side of the spectrum of metal from the OP.
Typically I listen to bands like The Black Dahlia Murder, Unearth, August Burns Red, A Night in Texas, Aversions Crown, and Enterprise Earth. Every once in a while some thrash like old Metallica and Slayer.

**** yeah. all over the map with it though from old to new.

get into Power Trip, they are my favorite semi recent band. more thrash then straight metal, but god damn they are good.

will be seeing Iron Maiden in June (for the first time!).

worked at philly venues for years so i got to see a ton of shit on stage and backstage.

Still listen to metal often but mostly when I powerlift because it's really the only thing to listen to when lifting. Sepultura, Exhorder, In Flames, Ratos De Porao, Fear Factory, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, the usual.
