Thumbs down Changed forum behaviors?

@admin
I've been meaning to post this for a while, but haven't got around to it.

I use a bookmark to my own mod thread to get to t4r.org when I want to surf.
The book mark pulls up my thread, I used to then logon and the forum would re-direct back to my thread no issues.

NOW I GET THIS ERROR EVERY TIME!! - What the deal? I've checked there is nothing wrong with the bookmark. It works fine, it's only when I logon that I get the error.

The system is adding the (parentheses) around the link causing the link to fail

Thumbs down Next up on the gripe list....

One other behavior that changed is the permanent links. Button is GONE.

Every post used to have a permanent link button, so you could link stuff back and forth in the context of the whole thread.

Now instead all we get is a link to a single post.
Even the notifications for likes, thanks, etc now only link to that single post instead of the post within the thread.

This make it pretty hard to create an index at the top of the thread linking to individual sections of the thread or any other threads for that matter.

All the permanent post links created before the software upgrade work fine, so the behavior wasn't eliminated, but how to I link to a specific post with a thread and still show the whole thread above and below the post I linked to?

What's the trick?

Good to know they are working on things at least.

I can't say we need BOTH Likes and Thanks, but whatever. I don't have to use them if I don't want to......

It seems they got the stupid "you are leaving t4r.org warning!"every time you clicked an external link fixed. That was a PITA.

Any resolution to this? I am getting fed up with having to find the link twice.
