Fast Deploy Tent Recommendations

I've been looking for a tent, not a rooftop tent, but a sit on the ground tent for my family. It would be me, my wife and our toddler daughter. On occasion my 11 yr old may join us. We are unsure how much use we will get as we have never taken our young daughter camping and hate to throw away money on an expensive tent that won't get used.

I like the idea of an OZ tent, but they seem so darn expensive! Then I looked at Darche, and while slightly less expensive, it's still higher then I'd like.

Are there any other companies that make similar tents to these at a slight cheaper price? Seems I'd seen some in videos from Overland Expo West but I can't seem to find them now.

I have this: https://www.costco.com/CORE-6-person...100341698.html

I bought it on sale for around $100.

Works fine. Way better than my old Coleman and it's plenty spacious

Fast Deploy Tent Recommendations

For not much more you could get a Kelty 6 person.

We bought their 4 person almost 20 years ago and still use it as our supply tent. We have the older version(looks pretty similar to the new one) of the 6 person now and use it with 2 adults and three younger kids.

Keltys have held up well. The old 4 person is a bit beat but we used it a lot when we were younger

I should get that one to replace our smallest and cheapest but only fast deployment tent, which is a Walmart unit. Works better than I thought it would, but it is a meh tent.

9x11 is about the minimum size needed for a queen bed, a single bed, and room for stuff. For us, air beds made the difference between no camping and extensive camping all over the West.

We have a Kelty as our medium tent. But it is not a fast deployment tent. Do you have a link to yours? While it has its advantages, our Kelty is practically impossible to deploy by a single person.

Gazelle tents advertise on expo all the time maybe they are what you’re thinking of.

Sorry, it’s not a fast deployment type.

Just two poles for the tent support though. Not too bad by yourself.
