I do have tenure and my state supports legal campus carry. I'm not worried about being fired but I do worry about harassment by faculty and students. And I worry about false accusations too.

Not that much of a unicorn though. There are others on my campus.

Carry gun

For reference I’m not talking out of my butt... 21 years retired military firearms instructor and competitive team shooter.

It’s not the gun it’s the training.. give the right shooter a cheap 22lr Revolver enough rounds down range and training they can put 2 in the chest 1 in the head and stop any attacker.

Beretta M9.. big reliable accurate and a tank that will always shoot.. Training is the key

I just skimmed through this thread. I'm on 6 gun forums, T4R is my escape from them, lol.
My personal EDC, CCW choices are a bit different.
Full-size Beretta PX4 9mm and Ruger SP101, 2¼", 357mag.
I moved from CA nearly two years ago and these were what I carried there. Now in AZ and still carry them, just open carry quite often now.

I'm a string bean(6'4 ~175lbs) and carry appendix, so it was tough for me to find a pistol that works with my body and also shoots well and comfortably for me. I considered a number of things as far as capacity, width, and grip texture with the thought that if I were ever in a high stress situation where I needed to protect myself with it, my adrenaline would be through the roof and my hands would be sweating by the time I had a hand on it. A lot of people resent them, but I settled for an XDS 9mm and have zero complaints. 8rd magazine goes in a mag holster and I have the 7rd magazine loaded with one in the pipe so there's consistency. I shoot it well, it's comfortable for me, and it's California compliant, even though I live in Washington. I've shot and held plenty other subcompact pistols and they just don't instill the same level of confidence in me.
