If you or someone you know or a company who is hiring an Entry Level Mechanical/Industrial/Hydraulic Engineering Position, My son is a Penn State University Graduate and has already obtain his Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate. This kid is a very hard worker who needs a way into our workforce! Please message me.

Thank you all!

Lots of opportunities in the Seattle area for industrial hydraulics. Also, I personally wouldn't recommend it due to the nature of the industry, but oil and gas would be good to look at if he's willing to assume he'll be laid off multiple times in his career (I think the oil industry is still in the lull from 2016 right now though).

Young hydraulics people, especially at the educated engineer level is generally in high demand since that whole industry is made up of retirees and near-retirement aged people with no young people to fill in the void.

If he hasn't already, make sure he signs up for the International Fluid Power Society.

I got my job in Seattle by going on the IFPS website and just looking at the list of names of certified hydraulics people in the Seattle area and reached out to them on LinkedIn to see if they knew of any job openings.

Have him look up Kent Fluid Power and Spencer Fluid Power.

I haven't worked in hydraulics in two years so don't really have any inside help, but just make sure he explores the avenues available in the 21st century. Direct messages through LinkedIn can really lead to good results.

If he's not a certified hydraulic/pneumatic specialist, he should do that ASAP to get him a little more attention on LinkedIn. I'm guessing he's got the knowledge necessary to pass the exam if he's fresh out of studying it in school.
