Read: 'Anyone that voices concern for their fellow man can be deemed a traitor' because that's essentially what it's boils down to. It's crazy where we're at with this.

They think kneeling = treason/sedition.

Well, kneeling specifically during the National Anthem is typically intended to communicate disrespect for the USA in some form. I'm not for that, though it isn't treason. It's an attempt to turn the game into a political forum or platform. As big of a Packers fan as I am (50+ years), if it becomes political, it stops being fun, and I stop watching.

It's not disrespectful to the USA. Maybe a middle finger would be. A retired Green Beret advised Kaepernick on this.
Anyway there are millions of people running around violation the Flag Code on a daily basis, wearing the Colors around their necks like capes and having flag swimsuits and such. There's certainly a double standard there.

Yep, agreed with the mistreatment of the flag. As for the kneeling during the anthem, I think it is disrespectful. The purpose of playing the anthem is to acknowledge and celebrate the USA, our freedoms, etc., etc. Hijacking that 90 seconds to draw attention to yourself or another cause is cheap, IMO. There’s 99.999% of the rest of your time where you can express yourself.

And 99% of those 'other times' is when people change the channel.
That's the point -= putting it in a place that can't be ignored easily.
Violent protests are never ok, we can all agree. This is why peaceful protests like this occurred - people ignore it if it's not presented to them.

And why do they change the channel? Because they're not interested, or because they're tired of hearing it. "Putting it in a place where it can't be ignored easily" could include cornering people in public, their homes, etc. I don't agree with grabbing every platform I can find, simply so "my point" can be made. As I mentioned earlier, if they must do that during the Anthem, whatever their justification, and the NFL (NHL, NBA, MLB, what have you) airs it, I simply won't watch. That would be my 'protest'. It doesn't mean they're not allowed to do it, it simply means I don't appreciate it. I'm not addicted to TV or sports.
If my point is so unpopular that I can't attract people to it like flies to honey, and instead must butt into their lives and stick it in their faces, and ruin events that they've valued for decades, maybe I need to re-examine myself.

I hear you. I normally only watch South American “Futebol” (soccer in the US).
Sometimes I will watch La Liga or a French League game.

It is a violation of the flag code to wear clothing made from an actual flag. It is not a violation of the flag code to wear clothing with a flag pattern on it.

It’s been a good year so far for my teams.
The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Alabama Crimson Tide are both undefeated! The Steelers had never been 9-0 (or even 8-0) until this season.

Wyoming Cowboys (college - Mountain West Conference)
Go Pokes!
Like to watch NFL on occasion (Broncos and Niners), but to be honest it's hard to stomach how much NFL players are paid. I recall in my 20s watchin' a guy throw a ball for millions a year, while my coworkers and I worked on colon cancer research and made less than $30K/year. Just didn't seem to add up.

Yeah, I get you. I guess the money is there whether we watch or not. Entertainment has always had millionaires because of the demand, be it sports, films, what have you. I still like watching the game, and its roots are very much blue-collar. I’m not so bothered by how much they make, because we still live in a place where that’s possible. I try to get as much money as I can, too. I’m just not in that much demand - lol.
