Given that I, literally, carry a lever gun on average 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, out here off grid, in the middle of the middle of nowhere, it’s pretty safe to say that......
I see a lot of brownies, black, wolf, coyote and some cougar. I never see Sasquatch.
So there you go.
When life is easy it’s 44wcf. When it’s dicey it’s 308win.
M1892 win src mfg 1913. Savage 99c. Both are good truck guns. Both suit the scabbard.
Do Sasquatch shoot back? Because, you know, that would suck.

I don't think so. I shave sometimes, haul in actual propane in 100lb bottles and have a satellite phone. We are thoroughly modern (which meant something specific in real estate ads back in the 1950s)and only cook on wood 5 months of the year now, have an inside composting toilet to supplement the outhouse and no longer make our own powder. Though the out house can be elevated on a moment's notice and drip pans put in place if it comes to that.
PS. I am inside by the fire now eating second breakfast and poking around on the internet via satellite.
See? Normal.

I'm like Piney, if it's a good gun for most all big game then it will do for a Big Foot/Yeta/Sasquatch, after all if there are real live creatures of this sort out there then they can be downed just like any other big game, couldn't be any harder than a charging brown bear and a calmly well placed shot or two will do that job, unless it's a surprised attack in close quarters which in that case you're screwed so no weapon is going to help you anyway!
I wonder if they have a forum and are pondering how they would kill a human...if they had to??
If a Sasquatch was coming after me and I had to defend myself I think I would go with a Sword International mk18 in 338 Lapua just because heck, I want one for some stupid reason.
PS. I think it would be a good gun for aliens too.

Reason: Adding PS
You all aren't doing it right. You just need to use poisoned Jacks Link Jerky.

You have to careful shooting Big Foot. It could be some moron in a costume.
I find it's best to give em a few warning shots.
I prefer the AK47, forget this one shot clean kill idea. Poachers in Africa put the AK47 to effective use killing all the tough skinned dangerous game. Just need to dump a 30rd mag into them...
unfortunately, the question is based on a false premise..Bigfoot would know you're there before you were ever close enough to see one..For that simple fact, there's no way you'll be able to kill one..
Maybe you'd get lucky and run into one while driving through the pacific northwest like in Harry and the Hendersons, but shooting one, I doubt it..

Warning shots get one dead. If you present your weapon, that should be warning enough. Besides, where do those warning shots go?
Warning shots go into the ground.
The anti-warning shot dogma is city thing. I'd bet Massage Myboob came up with that one, along with his prohibition on using reloads in your carry gun.
Us country folks shoot all the time. Bigfoot may have just walked into our shootin practice.

I wouldn't know, just fall back on my military training and experience.
That being said, why not a .50 call to dispatch the fictional hairy beast.
