1. Controlled breathing. Search "Combat breathing."
2. Positive self talk.
3. Exercise. I get really good workouts in when I'm mad about something.
4. Recognize that you control very little, but you can usually control your reaction (if you practice).

Stay busy if you have nothing to do all you can do is think about your problems. If that fails talk it out with your buddy’s.

I always remind myself that my worst fears often end up not being the case.
So, after I get over the initial shock of the panic, despair, etc. my mantra is...It will pass
..and it usually does.

I admit, I'm a nerd. I use the mantra from Dune, the one the Bene Gesserit use.
"Fear is the mind killer, fear is the little death, that brings total obliteration. I must not fear. I will let it pass over me, and through me, and when it has passed, only I will remain."
Maybe not a perfect rendition, but it works real well for me.

Much longer and more eloquent than mine but essentially the same messaging.
We are our own worst enemy..

Stay up late, eat junk food, overthink everything and end up unbelievably stressed the next day.
Maybe I'm doing it wrong

It's great that more people are talking about it and breaking down the stigma. In my experience, opening up about my mental health struggles has been very helpful. It's made me realize that I'm not alone and that it's okay to seek help when I need it.If you're looking for resources or support, a mental health hotline can be a good place to start. They can give you information and maybe even connect you with a therapist or counselor.Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.

"Breathe in peace, breathe out stress." Just taking a few deep breaths can work wonders.

mostly when I'm stressed I take double breaths and exhales. This helps to completely dry out the carbon dioxide and you become calmer
