CBD- first hand experiences.

When I got out in 2016, I smoked a couple times before I got a job, and havenít felt that good in a long time.

Been reading about the positives of CBD for PTSD, Depression, Anxiety; but also reading some not so good stuff.

Anyone have first hand experiences?

And no, Iím in the medical field and canít smoke. CBD- first hand experiences.

Make sure you understand the legal ramifications. It maybe legal in some states. But its not legal federally, yet. So that means any place you might want to work, who has any federal ties, won't allow it. You WILL be required to take a drug test, and possibly random drug testing. So make sure you consider that and the ramifications. Things like, do you want to drive for a delivery company. They will need you to be able to pass a drug test. Even if the company doesn't care, their lawyers will. Things like LEO's, transportation workers, govt contractors and their subs, and many others. All need drug tests for employment. Consider a company not requiring a drug test for employment. And something, anything happens and they get sued. And they didn't take the initiative to make sure their workers were drug free. Lawyers would have a field day with that. I'm not saying its right or wrong, just saying.

CBD. Not THC.

Hence why I asked about CBD.

I'm no expert, for sure. I suspect, but don't know for sure, that you would still flunk a drug test with using CBD.
Anyone know for sure?

Last summer I had an issue with my back - pinched nerve (although not sciatic nerve). The only time it was semi-comfortable was when I was sitting. I can't sleep sitting up, and no matter what I tried in bed it felt like someone was twisting a knife in me all night. So sleep was nonexistent, and I was in a really shitty mood.

At the suggestion of my chiropractor, he had some patients that responded well to cbd for pain relief/anti-inflammation. So I tried it.

For me, I didn't notice any pain relief. What I did notice was that my mood improved. It really took the edge off my temper even though I still wasn't sleeping well. Also, I've always had sinus problems. Very seldom are both of my nasal passages clear (one or the other is always inflamed or congested). With the cbd oil, I noticed my sinus congestion was improved greatly.

I need to read up more on side effects, but I didn't have any in the short term. I used it for about 3 months (2 months after my back issue was corrected) just for the mood/sinus improvements. However, long term the expense was not worth it for me. What I was using was $90/bottle, and lasted about a month. I'd probably add it to my daily routine if I find long term side effects are minimal, and the price comes down to $30/month.

On Edit to add what I was using. Re-Live 1800mg CBD oil tictures. CBD + MCT oil.
I see prices online now at $129.

This is what I was looking for.

Iím in constant pain (back, hips, knees) so kinda just deal with that.

Iím more looking for the affects on MDD, Anxiety, PTSD.

From my research, Iíve seen that the CBD *can* throw a false positive in a quick test, but when itís sent out, it comes back negative.

Since I work in a lab, I might have to do some experiments. CBD- first hand experiences.

I have a friend who was using CBD. After 6 months of using it, his doc did drug panel (sent out) and it came back POSITIVE for THC. Now, i donít know how MUCH he was using nor what brand. But he was using CBD, not THC.

I havn't used CBD oil myself, but I know many people who have used it with varying degrees of success; some swear by it and some don't see that it is more or less effective than other treatments. No one I know who has tried it completely discounts it, just varying degrees of success.

I donít know for sure, but Iím a PAO for the Air Force and we put out constantly to the Airmen to be careful with it and if they pop positive, CBD is not an excuse.

Used it a bit for my back with a bulging disk.

I'll tell you its nothing like smoking the good stuff. But I do feel it is better than popping pills and getting addicted.

You'll flunk a drug test. CBD is specifically listed as a "not allowed" in the military
.

That said, you may want to look at integrative health services. My wife is a Clinical Medical Support Hypnotherapist working with both Walter Reed and the VA and has had some really good success with pain management, PTSD and things like phantom limb syndrome.

Since she is a retired O-6 jarhead, she understands the issues and the hurdles. And it is legal.

Drop me a PM with your location and I'll ask her if she knows of someone in your area.

CBD can come from hemp or from marijuana - the latter meaning there would be some percentage of THC in it - but it should be stated on the packaging.

Would CBD from hemp throw a positive on a drug test?

FWIW, I think 99% of the claims of CBD are snake oil. It sometimes helps me sleep but that could be bc there's a small amount of THC in what I've purchased.
It has never helped me with pain - ranging from back to knees and shoulder.

Thank you for sharing your experience. This is interesting to me. I know that CBD can calm a person, help get rid of pain, this medecine also causes appetite. This remedy has all the pharmacological properties of cannabis and is often used in the treatment of various diseases, but I also know that CBD isn't a psychoactive substance and it's legal everywhere, so I canít understand why this shouldn't be taken if you are a military man. I know that many people suffer from PTSD or depression. It seems to me that CBD products can cope with this well and they have fewer side effects than antidepressants or sedatives. I know that CBD products chemically purify THC (CBD product contains less than 0.3% THC). Perhaps due to poor quality CBD, is this prohibited in military? I know that after I used CBD oil, which I bought here Jupiter , my drug test was negative. Perhaps CBD leaves the body faster than marijuana or doesnít have that many reagents to show a drug test positive?
