New respect for life

So, this past Saturday I had some kind of "attack". And at the time, I felt fear like I can't even begin to fully understand or explain. I thought I was dying, I thought it was over. Even just typing it makes me shiver.
But it passed, and the next two days were anxiety filled though it slowly faded. I was checked out at the doc's yesterday (Monday). Everything was good, they said they thought I had a vasovagal synapse (if I am spelling it correctly.). Something crazy that is rare and generally caused by stress.

They say it may never happen again. But the whole ordeal has changed me and there are many things in my life I am changing. I don't think I've been the best person I could have been and that really bothers me, so I'm taking the time to make things right no matter how small.

So, here in the forums. If I've ever been a dick, or just plain shitty to any of you. I'm sorry. It's not the person I want to be, I came here to join a cool community about cool trucks and stuff and to hopefully make some buds. I hope I still can. I don't claim to be perfect but I am going to try my best to be a better, friendly person.

Thank you all

Glad you're OK. Good luck with being a better, friendlier person. Every time I try that every moron and jerk that exists seem to go out of their way to seek me out and put my new resolve to the test... I usually fail. Maybe you'll do better than I.

Oh gosh I know, I'm going to try my best to just take things easy and slow this time. Gotta remember to think before getting upset. I'm sure I'll slip sometimes, but I'm going to try my best

Maybe it is stress. My wife had a bit of tightness in her chest for a few days. I suggested she stop watching the local and national virus updates every day, and she tried that. Tightness is gone now. I think it's just too much info and fear to mull over for very long. Daily life brings enough trouble without fretting over stuff we can't control. So, no idea if that's what affected you, but maybe. Stick with your new direction - maybe it'll rub off on a lot of us here!

You know I was not too worried about covid...but maybe the lack of seeing friends and family has gotten to me. Maybe the whole situation is getting to me without me realizing it.

You see, its true, they do seek you out. Even though this was a terrifying experience maybe you can appreciate it for opening your eyes and changing you for the better. People are often hardest on themselves and the fact that you're wanting to be better proves you were a good person already. Kindness and gratitude never hurt anyone or costed anything so it makes no sense to me why its so rare to see. Stay true to you and be the best person you know, ill be rooting for you.

Ok, sorry I didn't really mean to get you to break your new resolve...but that "guy"/BOT is not a real person it's a computer program meant to invade forums like this one so I figured it was fair game for you to be able to release a bit of tension, my bad, be true to yourself.

With all the bots, spammers, and trolls, online life can be a stressor if you let it. And the real world is stressful enough, especially now. Some simple meditation breathing techniques can help. Good luck to you.
