I've eaten at MickyD's in Singapore, Thailand, Japan, and quite a few other places....about 25yrs ago in my military days. It was always interesting to see the different menu items (like no beef on the menu in certain regions...or beer on the drinks menu).

I was at a McDonald’s in China 10 years ago, and I wanted to take a picture of the Chinese (Mandarin) menu. The worker told me I couldn’t take a picture in the restaurant. I actually had a camera (pre-iPhone for me).

McDonald’s in the Philippines has fried chicken pieces (like at KFC) and rice on the menu. They call the original hamburger a McDo (“mac-doe”) burger, and Filipinos call the restaurant McDo’s, not Mickey D’s. They also have quarter-pounders with cheese, not the royale with cheese, even though they’re pretty much on the metric system.

While in Australia I had a McD's burger with a slice of red beet in it...wasn't bad.

I'd like to visit Singapore to try Hainanese chicken rice

Why settle for McDonald's in Singapore when you can have Fakkin in Japan?

Nothing like importing our fat-ass food to other nations. No wonder obesity rates are climbing in places like Singapore.
