Next time you have any kind of surgery or dental work done tell the doctor to forget the mask, there’s no proof it prevents infection, and besides they’ll be more comfy.

I'm bouncing out of this topic. You all are just a humongous lot of
If I stay here any longer, I'm afraid I'll lose brain cells from how stupid you are.
Hopefully the new president sets things right for you all. No more alternative facts that lead absolute morons to cite communist Chinese propaganda.
I'm just going to leave this here. I hope you all die before you kill me and my family with the garbage that's spilling out of your mouths, both figuratively and literally.

N95 masks. Filters outside particles from entering the body. Dust, ash, etc. Doesn't filter viruses. Replace often as the chog
Surgical masks. Helps stop spittle from entering open wounds and surgical procedures. Doesn't filter viruses. Replace often as they retain moisture from breath.
Cloth masks. Similar to surgical masks but much less effective, but is now fashionable. Retains moisture from breath and holds / breeds bacteria. Can contaminate respiratory system of wearer.
WuFlu is here to stay. There will be new viruses. Are you going to wear masks and live in fear your whole life? If so, you are easily conditioned.

Lets try some logic.
If six feet works, why the need for masks?
If masks work, why the need for six feet?
If both work in combination, why the lockdown?
Careful!
Sorry, but not sorry.
I developed COPD at 24 due to September 11th 2001.
Perhaps some of you remember that day?
Just like people who "care" about the environment so much, yet they drive 19MPG 4Runners... Seems mighty hypocritical, no?
Let the flames begin!

The CDC contradicts their own studies.
CDC says masks ineffective.
Public Health Guidance for Community-Related Exposure | CDC
And again here.
Nonpharmaceutical Measures for Pandemic Influenza in Nonhealthcare Settings—Personal Protective and Environmental Measures - Volume 26, Number 5—May 2020 - Emerging Infectious Diseases journal - CDC
They had to correct this one that said 74% of those that were infected wore masks diligently, and only 3.9% infected when no masks worn.
https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/...mm6936a5-H.pdf
I tend to like PROVEN FACTS. Not studies that have to be corrected.
Been down the Covid road early on. Symptoms = Tired, loss of smell and taste.
I wore a mask diligently, as did anyone I came in contact with and still came down with it.
Flu is much worse when I get it, and I get the vaccine yearly.
One test, two results.

It's about conditioning, not logic.
We are also told that the annual flu numbers are down because of masks and distancing. In the next breath Covud is still a problem because of lack of masks and distancing

Yes, wearing a mask is a PIA. You don’t need them everywhere, just when near people. But if there’s a chance it will work and slow down the spread until the vaccinations take over, why not give it a try?
Enough people have resisted this simple task since last March and look at where the US is now: 4% of world population and ~25% of cases. And all the death and economic harm. Hospitals ICUs are clogged up, medical professionals are burnt out. Heaven forbid if you go on an outing in your 4Runner, get into a serious accident, go to a hospital and there’s no room for you.
Or a loved one has a heart attack and has to wait in the ambulance for many hours until there’s a hallway freed up.
Mask up. Don’t be a tender snowflake.

It is important to wear a mask, but all this hoopla about mask optimization would be better spent on promoting halfway decent mask wearing. None of that bullshit like people cutting a hole in it or even more common things like wearing it below your nose.

Nope. Not doing it.
It's a load of crap. Using a mask is like trying to catch mosquitos with a Cyclone (wire mesh) fence.
It's also brain washing.

I've been in hospitals during this.
Both were empty on all occasions.
When you get it with certain underlying conditions, they want to run a lot of tests. MRI / CT scan.
And I guess you missed the part about COPD from 9/11...
Masks make it really tough to not get dizzy/lightheaded.
I don't think you want me driving next to you or your family with a mask on.

You want to wear a mask, wear a mask.
You want to force me to wear a mask? What does that make you?
If I'm not wearing a mask and that scares you then you should stay away from me .
I see less than 1% of people wearing ineffective masks correctly. Facial hair? Don't bother with a mask. No 360° seal? Don't bother. Nose exposed? Don't bother.
I wonder how many politicians invested in startup mask companies prior to mandating masks.
I guess it's all in what you're used to. I grew up in an area with one of the highest natural concentrations of anthrax. WuFlu ain't nuthin'.
