OMG...I am 69 years old and have bought well over 60 cars and trucks in my life. I will try to remember them all and will attempt to list them in order of ownership....the asterisk indicates I purchased it brand new:

1965 Mercury Comet - my dad brought it home and gave it to me at 17, along with the payment book...lol!
1970 Mustang Mach 1* - my first new car as a young married man
My grandpa’s Mercury Marauder - I gave him $500 for it - for the wife, what a boat!
A Pontiac Tempest - year unknown - push button gear selector (wife car)
A Ford Falcon - year unknown - turquoise in color! (wife car)
An Opel Cadet - year unknown - a real POS (wife car)
1973 Corvette * - what a POS, special order waited 6 mos. for it. Needed repainted and new engine inside of 3,000 miles. Worst new car I ever owned.
1974 Gran Torino * - back to Ford after the Corvette fiasco and wife was pregnant
1976 Pontiac Gran Prix LJ * - blue crushed velour seats!
1978 Buick Estate Wagon * - kid hauler before the advent of the minivan
A Subaru 2 door * - year unknown - paint fell off in a year, very slow car
1983 Dodge Caravan * - wood grain on the outside!
1985 Honda Accord Coupe * - what a great car - hit a deer though
1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe *...heavy and slow. manual tranny tho
1988 Dodge Caravan * - ugh - needed something to haul my son’s track team
1988 Toyota Supra Turbo * - the inline 6 was sweet, minus targa roof it shook like jello
1990 Nissan Maxima SE * one of my favorite cars ever
1990 Ford Ranger
1983 Corolla - both kid’s first car
1985 Chevy Nova (Corolla) - daughter’s car
1986 Chevy Nova - son’s car
1989 Ford Escort - beater car
1987 Honda CRX SI - my toy, so much fun but rusted like a Vega
Mazda B2300 p.u. - year unknown - son drove his senior year
Toyota Celica - year unknown - son’s college car
1988 Gramma’s Taurus - year unknown - son’s college car after he totaled the Celica
1997 CRV * - the first CRV in our county!
1999 Camry XLE * - first lease car
1995 F150 - got me hooked on big trucks
1995 300ZX - non turbo, pretty but slow
A Mazda B2500 - year unknown (disguised Ford Ranger)
2000 Acura CL Type S *, lost tranny at 23k
2000 Miata SE * British Racing Green Special Edition with Nardi wood package
2000 Tundra Limited Access cab - my first Tundra
2004 Tundra Limited Double Cab * - gorgeous Jade Mica with tan leather
2003 S2000 - slightly used....9000rpm!!!!!
2004 S2000 * - loved the new look
2004 Lexus ES350 * - fugly but so smooth and quiet, Mark Levinson is badass
2005 Acura TL * - more fun than the Lexus
2005 4Runner Limited * - my first 4Runner!!!
2006 S2000 - black and red leather
2007 Civic * - meh
2008 Mazda 6* - GT, road like a buckboard but bought at $10k off
1999 4Runner - 119k miles when I bought it in 2006
2002 4Runner - 89k miles when I bought it in 2008
2008 Infiniti G35X - slightly used, <10k miles, great car! Engine wailed!
2011 Honda Element * - great dog car
2013 Honda Accord * - totaled at 6 months old. Uninsured “illegal” nailed us
2012 Acura TL - replaced the totaled Accord - wife hated it
2014 Accord Hybrid * - wife got her Accord back
2013 FJ Cruiser * - silver base
2014 FJ Cruiser * - cement loaded
2002 S2000 - Spa Yellow, perhaps my favorite car ever!!!!!
2016 Lexus GS350 F-Sport - Certified
2016 Tundra SR5 Dbl. Cab * - FJ couldn’t tow the camper we bought
2005 Civic - beater for wife to keep her out of the Lexus
2008 Miata PRHT GT - made big bucks on the S2000 and bought this little gem
2010 Tundra SR5 Dbl. Cab - 2wd - Sold the ‘16, this was all I really needed to tow the camper
2007 Tundra SR5 Del. Cab - bought cheap, flipped it after frame replacement, came out ok $$$
2016 MX-5 GT - impulse buy during a rainstorm. Found lots of dings and scratches the next day. Dont buy a used car on a rainy day!
2007 Honda Element SC - sold to a first time driver
2011 Tundra RockWarrior - loved it until I drove a new Platinum Crew Cab
2018 MX-5 GT - sold to dealer last summer for what I paid for it in 2019 due to the fact no 2020s were being built during Covid. No Miata on their “Mazda” lot
2018 Mazda 6 Signature (my wife’s current car) *
2011 CRV SE - sold
2019 Tundra Crew Cab Platinum * (my current tow vehicle for our new Lance 2285)
2007 4Runner Limited - 172k miles when I bought this past Monday (my toy)
(and I am looking to buy an ‘07 MX-5 GT soon? A man can’t have too many toys!)

You know what? I think I may only be missing a couple vehicles. And the order I have listed is fairly close as far as the order in which I bought them. You may think that I have a fetish for cars and trucks. You may be correct. I get bored or our needs change...or something strikes my fancy. But truthfully The 3 vehicles we have now may all be in our garage for longer than most. The Tundra is a necessity as long as we have a camper, the Mazda 6 is leased but I love it so much that I am seriously thinking of buying out the lease and keeping it. It is as nice as any of the “luxury” brands I have owned. The 4Runner is now my toy, my “project” car that I can tinker around with. The only thing that may occur in the near future is to buy another sports car since we no longer have one. A slightly used Supra looks awfully tempting!

@bear1998 .....hit a deer at 100mph on your Yamaha??? Dang brother! I am amazed you are here to speak about it! 40+ years ago I sold my Kawasaki 500 after my buddy riding ahead of me hit a rabbit that came flying back and hit me in the shoulder. 10 miles up the road a lady pulled out in front of me....I thought “God, you trying to tell me somethin’?” He said “you got 2 babies at home that need a dad!” My first and last bike. BTW my son is a finance manager at a HD dealership. Business has been very good, even through the pandemic! He has had a half dozen motorcycles.

Is it unhealthy that I’m continually watching my former truck to see when it’s sold? I traded it in at Andrew Toyota in Milwaukee and she wound up a few hundred miles North in da U.P. of Michigan at some small auto lot. It feels like watching an ex with her new boyfriend??

I thought I was the only one who did that...lol! I am watching our ‘11 CR-V on Autotrader everyday to see when the dealer sells it. I sold it directly to them (no trade in).

2006 Toyota 4Runner Sport
2009 Nissan Titan
2011 Subaru Outback

The S4 was the best by far-followed by the VW, MB, and 4runner in no particular order.

We'll see how the new 4runner stacks up over time.
