And the TRD Pro fanboys who will argue reliability will be the same bunch that has their truck for sale in a year at MSRP with 15,000 miles on it.

Still just a ford. The raptor does absolutely nothing for me. Just like the people that install raptor amber lights in their grill. Why bring yourself down to the ford level? Let's see where these are at 500K miles, bet they're crushed and shipped to China long before they ever make it there.

I love my Toyota's as much as the next guy, but if I was to buy a compact truck today, I would absolutely entertain buying a Ford or Chevy over a Tacoma.
I really wanted to like the Tacoma, I went to buy one, but they dropped the ball on the latest generation. Top of the line Limited is a joke and so are their Pro models. Very uncomfortable truck. Compare a 4Runner Limited and it's night and day.
Sure track record for reliability is great, but I don't want to drive that for 500k miles haha. I was itching to get out of the thing over just a test drive.

Funny you say that. I bought a 2016 Tacoma brand new, traded it in after 3500 miles. Absolutely love the truck, absolutely hate the POS 3.5 and 6 speed auto they put behind it. 4R is a huge upgrade in every respect.

I was in a similar situation before I bought my 4Runner. Test drove a Tacoma and REALLY wanted to like it, but its just too small/cramped, uncomfortable and poorly equipped.
Ford's doing great things lately with their vehicles. Seems like they are actually listening to what customers are asking for and delivering.

Yes, it's a great truck for this money and I think it's worth every penny! I just found out that if I get a loan on this car, my net worth can go from positive to negative one, because it turns out that net worth isn't everything you own as I used to think. Net worth is assets minus liabilities (credit card debt, student loan debt, car loans, payday loans). After reading an article about the liquid net worth that I found at investedwallet.com, I realized that I should make more money if I want to have a positive net worth. So I should wait a little longer to buy a car. If you are interested in this topic, you can read some great articles on the blog.
