I think it would be a bad idea and I don't think it will happen. If it were Mercedes or BMW it likely would but I see Toyota keeping the model names as they are. Both are immensely successful, why mess with it? Not to mention, I think a 4Runner sport already exists, doesn't it?

I thought the first reply was good until I read the 4runner limited reply haha. In all honesty though, I rented a rav4 last September for a road trip and was surprised. Would be cool(er) with more off road capabilities.
It's kind of like Ford calling their EV crossover a "mustang." When these automakers end up with a sub-brand that has so much cred, they can't resist trying to leverage that as much as possible.
