your instructions didn't work for me, no notifications list in my User CP, I did however find where the "likes", "Thanks" and "quotes" are listed....what I did was click on my user's name in the upper right corner which takes me to my public profile page, then where you see the following.....
"Visitor Messages About Me Statistics Friends Contact Info Mentions >>" click on the 2 > to the right of "Mentions" and then you see
"Thread Tags
Quotes
Posts Thanks/Like"
Click on whichever one you like, in this case
