That's almost 5 years. I had First Alert alarms with Z wave that 10 year batteries all died within 8 months. I pulled them all and bought Nest smoke and carbon detectors.
They always seem to go off around 3am and are at the top of cathedral ceilings so they are a PITA to get to. The one thing you could not disable to FA alarms remotely for a dead battery. They considered 75% dead. I didn't want them going off when my wife was home alone because there is no way she could get on a ladder that high up.
The nest are battery plus 110V so I have to go up to each one and rewire for the plugs. Fun Times.
