So I’ve realized that my driver side reverse light is burned out. It looks like I will have to be replacing them sooner than I had originally anticipated. Nothing major but at least I get to do a little mod to it. I’m pretty sure it takes 921 LEDs but I will need to confirm first.

Some Hondas use the larger 7440 bulbs in the reverse. If you want to get fancy and convert them to rear facing fogs, these are white/red switchbacks. I'm using them on my parents' GX but haven't wired power to the red LEDs Red/White LED Rear Fog/Reverse Light Conversion Kit For 2016-up Mazda — iJDMTOY.com

But if they're 921 get these, send an offer for $20 and go from there https://www.ebay.com/itm/30470183153...mis&media=COPY

Woke up this morning and pulled the bulbs for the reverse lights and the license plate lights. The reverse lights were 7440’s and the license plate lights were 168’s. So I took a trip to my local AutoZone and got replacements for both.

Unfortunately the reverse lights weren’t from the ZEVO lineup, but the license plate lights were. Swapping them in and out was super easy, no screwdrivers or tools were required. Simple clips and plugs.

Out the door total was $49.80 for both.

A tire shop would refused to repair that tire, the hole is too close to the sidewall, thank goodness we can still buy plug kits to DYI.

Soooo that plug did in fact NOT hold, so that's a bummer. I'm gonna take it somewhere tomorrow to have the bum tire pulled off the wheel and replaced with the old spare (same tire, last set) to hold me over. I'm thinking more than likely I'll be able to get a warranty claim for that tire since it has less than 3,000 miles on it, so there's that. Not too happy about it, but it is what it is.

Had a similar puncture on my motorcycle rear tire on '83 Honda V45 Sabre and I used the same plug method as you and it held up very well. Shop wouldn't fix it so I did.

Yeah, I'm pretty upset about it since this is like my new daily driver. But it's cool. It'll get worked out so no need to get all up in arms about it. It just means I get to drive the 4Runner in the meantime.

I was pretty pleased with how the plug turned out and felt confident that it would hold. When I went out to the parking lot the next morning, the tire was flat again. So I've been having to air it up every other day. Once I get the old spare mounted, I'll have to do a warranty claim for it since the current tire has literally less than 3,000 miles on it.

Little update for the Accord.

BJ’s won’t replace the tire even though it’s low on mileage because they don’t sell that tire anymore. No big deal, it is what it is. I’ll ride around on my spare until that wears out, then I have another spare I can replace it with and that should last me until my next set of tires.

So with that, I’ve been daily driving the Accord and driving the 4Runner about once, maybe twice per week. The gas mileage on the Honda is so nice compared to the truck I have to say.

Today I removed the broken trim piece from the rear passenger side door and took the car through an automatic wash. I wanted it to do most of the work cleaning up the area from where the old trim piece was. I left the clips in to help prevent water from entering the holes in the door itself. It did a pretty solid job of cleaning it up, too. I’ll be installing the new trim piece hopefully sometime soon.

Took about an hour and 15, but the trim piece replacement job finally got done with the help of my Dad. Lots of elbow grease getting off that old stuck on adhesive. If I had access to a heat gun or even a hairdryer I’m sure it would’ve made things a lot easier. But it got done and it looks great in my opinion.

Welllllll here's an update for the ol Accord. We had some brutally cold weather about two weeks ago now and because of that (there was a lot of snow, also) I had been driving the 4Runner every day. I started the Accord maybe twice within a one week window.

When the snow had melted away I went to start the Honda and the battery light was on. I drove it a short distance and upon pulling back into my parking spot I turned the car off. Tried turning it back on and absolutely nothing.

I pulled the battery out and took it to a buddy's house where he placed it on a trickle charger for about 2.5 days. The battery has a manufacture date of 3/22 so I can't imagine the battery had already deteriorated that badly. Once the battery had a full charge, I put it back in the Accord and fired it up. No issue! Until I drove around for a few minutes. The battery light returned.

So I've got my reservations about what's happening here as I experienced something quite similar with the 4Runner about 2.5-3 years ago. Turned out to be my alternator going bad. So I went ahead and ordered a Denso reman alternator for the Honda and plan to throw that in asap. Will update afterwards with the results.
