Is that for real? The name is suspect - Priapus - the Roman god of generative power.

Edit:
OK, next morning now, I have had a chance to take more than a quick glance at the link and see that it is plainly a spoof.

Speaking of spoofs; a few days ago at Candlepowerforums.com someone started a thread with a link to a site about the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO) aka hydric acid and at least one person in the thread seems to have been taken for a ride for a couple of days, I'm still womdering if he has figured it out yet.

It's not a spoof. It's on Toyota's site under the future cars part.

The Volta is on Toyota's site but not the Priapus.... Missing is an official press release.

It is a very nice car. It looks very similar to the LExus LF-C that I saw at the NY Autoshow.

The concept car has been around for several months if not over a year. Toyota just needed to give the go ahead to put it in production.

Can you imagine a hybrid doing 0-60 right at 4 seconds? Stock?...amazing.

A big turbo on that car would be great. The electric motor would get it going on the low end making lag almost insignificant.

I just hope they don't limit production to the point where they're going for 150%+ of the MSRP. $72k is already a lot of money.

Yeah there is something about a 4 door sedan with leather/wood that beats the pants off a corvette...

There is something about blasting down an open highway in a 750hp Supra Turbo that is greater than any wood grain dash and leather seats. You know you're having fun when the turbo kicks on in third gear and the 295 rear tires break free at 70mph.

No disrespect intended, we all have our own wants, but for a weekend fun car, I'd take the priapus/volta over any BMW.

I've owned two porsches and they were both the biggest pieces of shit ever. They always needed something. I don't think I'll ever buy another german car again.

Well yeah, but since I am 6'4", big musclar build, chances are that I will not be able to fit in a priapus/volta if they follow the trend in sports cars.... I know I can fit in the m5 though.....
