For a dress & work watch I have a gold colored Seiko that I paid $100 for about 10 years ago. Watches are annoying when I am typing at a keyboard so I often take it off and leave it on my desk so I don't want an expensive watch that might "walk away". For jewelry I have a ring made of about 1/2 ounce of 18K gold with a large sapphire.
When I am outside engaged in my hobbies I wear a Timex Expedition.

I am a watch lover, especially mechanical/automatic watches. After Omega (coaxial) & Rolex movements, the Seiko Kinetic is one of my favorite...great technology (same goes for Citizen Ecodrive...if only Citizen would use sapphire crystals on more of their watches).
Yeah, cell phones and battery watches are far more accurate than a mechanical watch, but the real beauty is in it's construction and amazing durability.
I have been following watches for a long time...not as long as cars though. Cars and watches are my two weaknesses.

Yup, you guys have watches in the 80s and my watch is from the late 90's. I've never seen anyone walking around with one of these to tell time

I use the clock on my 4Runner when I am driving or my LG cell phone. They work great and I never have to change the batteries. Oh wait, I have to recharge the LG!
I don't like anything on my wrist. I find it uncomfortable and would rather have another means of telling time.

Chalk up another one for Rolex (Oyster Perpetual). I wear it to work and when I go out. If I know work is going to be messy or I am going wakeboarding, snowboarding, etc, a Spoon by Pulsar.

TAG Heuer (pronounced TOK Hoyer) dive watch. TAG stands for Technische Avant-Garde (Advanced Technology). Heuer is an established Swiss watchmaker, and their marketing department decided it needed to start adding TAG to its products, I think they fell in with Porsche about that time. My wife gave me this watch about twelve years ago, I've had it on my wrist ever since except for a few brief cleaning episodes. I like it a lot. It's been to 120 ft underwater diving, and 18,000 ft above sea level climbing in Peru, and all sorts of places in between. It's just a quartz movement, so it keeps time as well as any Timex or Casio ever made.

I dont have a watch, I just use the sun. I figured since I have never been late for anything in my life I do not need one yet............Maybe when I hit my 40's I will need one....

I have a Seiko Railroad Approved watch that my mother gave me for my graduation from college 14 years ago.
Over the years, I've had the crystal, the band, the case and the mechanism replaced (ok, it's a new watch ), but I still call it my graduation gift...

Before I retired I always wore a Rolex, last one was a Stainless and Gold Submariner. After I was retired for about 5 years I decided to sell it. Like who was a retired guy trying to show off too? I think it cost me around $5K-$6K new and I sold it after 10 years for $4K (It looked like new). Went to a local outlet mall and bought an Eddie Bauer date just all stainless for $35 ( nice looking watch ). Hey I'm not that old, I retired in my 40's
