Newly acquired beater to go along with the 4Runner

Hey guys. Been awhile since I really posted. Been really busy with school and car shopping. I finally found a decent beater so that I can keep my baby (4Runner) clean and well pampered hehe.

Its a 2000 Honda CRV SE.. with only 25k miles. I just got new tires for her cuz the original owner (old couple) still had the original year 2000 tires on it.

I've always loved the CRVs even before I got my 4Runner hehe. =D

I noticed the "nodding puppy" Where did you buy that? My daughter is always attracted that kind of ornament...I mean it reminds me squeezing past those stubborn jeepneys...

Lucky bas****!! I loved my 1997 CRV!! It was a GREAT vehicle! Strangely, it was the vehicle that introduced me (and Gatorgreg) to off-roading. When i sold it at 99,700 miles, it was still rattle-free and ran just like new. I towed at over it's limits, i off-road as much as i could with it, and i learned how to put in car speakers with it...yet, it still proved 100% reliable. I have tremendous respect for the 1st generation CRV.

Hehe. It came with the car. :P The previous owner put that in, but I'm afraid I have to remove it because it gets in the way when I put the sun shield on.

Thai, I've always been fascinated with the CR-V ever since day 1 it came out! 1997, so you had the 126 hp one? hehe. That was also the model that they didnt have the clock next to the emergency hazard switch huh? hehe. :P I have a 1998 in the Philippines, and since it's my vacation car, it only has about 17k kilometers (about 10-11k miles when converted) so I guess I own two of the youngest 1st gen CR-Vs in the world? hehe

Yup, i had 126 hp...it was a bit slow, but good enough for a student for sure! I didn't need a clock really because i had an aftermarket radio that had it...almost in the same place as later models. My only criticism of it was the road/wind noise. Otherwise, till this day, i miss it. I believe that it had the best fit & finish of any vehicle that i have owned...and trust me, that is saying a lot!

Enjoy your CRV in good health!
