You probably don't know me, because my post count here is low.
Mostly all I've done on this forum is to talk on threads in the Hardcore section regarding the few things I understand about linked suspensions, based on what I've learned while building this:
This is a project 40, with a GM LS1 engine, NV4500 manual transmission, Atlas 4 speed 5.44 transfer case, High Angle Drivelines, Dana 60/70U axles and 42" IROKS on Stazworks dual beadlocks. I'm 2 years in, and tens of thousands down. I'm at least 6 months from turning the key for the first time.

Here on MUD, because I don't actually know that much about cruisers, I mostly just read and learn.
The reason that I'm posting up here is that I need your help.
I entered an essay contest over on Pirate, the winner of which will be a driver in the 2010 KOH race this coming February. At stake is the driver's seat in Camo's race buggy, sponsored by Motorsports Fabrication Services. It's a complete race-ready buggy, tuned and tempered, along with full support and Bob Roggy in the second seat.
This is an unbelievable contest, to say the least!
Of the hundred-plus essay entries, I'm one of the final 5. Now, it's down to a popular vote. Voting will continue till January 25th.
I wish I could tell you that I'm obviously the most deserving, but frankly, I don't even know what that means. Yes, if you read my essay, I'm trying to make this into something positive for everyone, and I truly believe that I can.
But so can anyone.
People are voting on this, based on all kinds of additional motivations. It looks like brand loyalty is a strong motivator for some. Others are making guesses about skills.
It's a free-for-all. It's nuts. Hopefully, it remains all in good fun, and I think it can... but you never know what's going to happen next, on the Pirate board.
