Im all for it, being the Feds dont or wont do the job, but now it seems 17 more states are planning on doing the same thing as Az. I just wished Colorado was one of them.

100% in favor of this law. I wish more states adopted it as well. I think the reaction to boycott Arizona over is ridiculous because people have no idea how the people of Arizona are affected by illegal immigrants. What else are they supposed to do?

You simply can't imagine the impact illegal immigration has on the state of Arizona unless you see some of its effects first-hand.

Physical Impact: Hunting organizations organize several trash gathering efforts in the desert each year along regular corridors and haul out TONS of trash dropped by illegals. Ranchers fences are destroyed, even after ranchers put in methods (gates, etc) for the illegals to use instead of destroying property. Watering systems in remote locations for cattle survival are routinely broken or left on the ground rather than in the tank...leaving the tank to dry up and threaten the ranchers' livestock.

Health Care: I'd like to see statistics comparing the airlift of illegals as compared to citizens. Seems like at least weekly an overloaded vehicle, holdilng 10, 20, 30, or 40+ illegals, overturns somewhere and trauma centers overflow and helicopters from all over the state respond to preserve their lives. Emergency rooms overlow and wait times skyrocket. Urgent or regular medical care requires insurance, so illegals use the ERs instead.

Education: 1000's of children walk/commute daily across the border into American schools. The tax base supporting these schools doesn't include their residences, so the schools operate at substandard levels. All too often classrooms' progress is limited by English as a second language (ESL) learners.

Crime: Phoenix has become the kidnapping and home invasion capital of the world. The local news regularly reports on bloody, often fatal, home invasions, portraying the terror of the occupants as their world collapses around them. Only a few days later the real backstory gets out...the occupants are complicite in criminal activity involving human or drug smuggling, prompting the invasion.

The level of ignorance displayed by the HB1070 opponents is simply amazing. It runs the gamut from extras from Jay Walking (you know, Leno poking fun at idiots on the street) to the leader of the free world. The term 'reasonable suspicion' is center to the debate, with the idiots claiming it as an excuse to illegally profile. In reality, however, that term has very specific and well-defined meaning in the law enforcement arena, having been hashed out through hundreds of precedent-setting court cases.

It's amazing to me that being born, raised, severd my country and now out of work that I cannot even find work because all of the border jumpers take jobs for less than min. wage and pay no taxes. Go to any ER late at night here in California and look at the make up of the people waiting for treatment. 85% are mexicans that have little chica with a sniffle or jose with a hang nail. I recently took my son to the ER on a valid emergency with his head cracked open from his lame excuse for a mother, a shirt soaked in blood and had to WAIT over 2 hours to get him in because of the line ahead of me. What was that line of people you ask? 2 white couples, 2 black ladies (both had actual emergencies), 17 wetbacks with afflictions that could have been handled by a trip to rite aid or some other 24 hour pharmacy.

Do I support the Arizona law. Yes, 100%! The LA city council voted yesterday to ban arizona and all business done with them. That's funny because I don't remember telling the councilman to vote on my behalf in favor of the proposed matter.

If we were to round up all the border jumpers, send them back and keep them back, I bet damn near everyone in the USA would be able to have jobs, affordable health care, lower taxes less crime and the list goes on and on and on.

Glad to see that someone had the balls to finally stand up and make a law on the issue. Now we need to make it stick.

I fully support this law. From what I've seen, legitimate immigrants (southern or otherwise) support it too. The only group truly opposed to it is the illegals...(and boulder), go figure

We have a immigration process in place and people choose to abuse it with no major repercussions. That's a big no bueno, amigo

More and more illegals have been coming here to Hawaii and with them more crime. I have no problem with legal Mexicans or any other legal people, but what makes the illegal immigrants think that they can come here, cause trouble, and not contribute to this country (not paying taxes for example)? They definitely do use up valuable resources and take away from the rest of us. They take up much-needed jobs and make getting medical services harder too, like previously mentioned. Allowing them to stay here at the expense/sacrifice of the citizens just isn't right.

Ahh, that sucks man, i think you would like "sherriff Joe" in AZ, he makes the prisoners where pink underwear and such, look him up. I am fully supporting this law.
