major jetski issue

so my little brother calls me a few minutes ago, aparently he went to fill the gas tank of his brand new jet ski this afternoon and didnt read the fill caps. he put the gas in the oil fill!!!!!!!! than when he noticed what he did he tried to start the thing. it did not start or turn over at all i guess.
how bad is this situation? i told him to just pull it out if the water and bring it to the dealer to see if they can flush it out. i wasnt about to touch this thing

Multiple drain and fills of new oil should be fine. Attempting to start it was definitely a bad idea but I wouldn't expect it to be permanently ruined. Gasoline makes for a pretty powerful solvent but as long as it doesn't combust it should leave an oily coating. I also would not let the engine get anywhere near operating temp when running it with new oil after the first and second drain and fills. I would also keep it away from a dealership unless a problem develops. Saying you put gas in the oil fill is just an invitaion for a mechanic to rip you off

i would totally do the job myself, but i have no idea how a jetski is setup. i have no idea how to drain and fill it. i can do anything to a car or truck but i have no knowledge of how a boat is maintained.
